Hi guys!


Today I will do a small Money Management operation (our sweet obsession :) ) on the CURVE EA live signal.


Since I am already positive at € 590, I will put the Stop Loss pips level at 333 (1/3 of 1000). This means that at the next Stop Loss I will lose around € 300, about half of what I have earned so far.


Even though the backtest tells me that lowering the Stop Loss level leads, in the long period, to slightly lower performances, I adopt this change as it is in line with my psychological trading profile.


I could however raise the Stop Loss step by step as the profit advances, bringing it back to 1000 pips (that's the best performance Stop Loss from backtest) only when the profit will be greater than 1000 €.


It's just a little Money Management trick that I wanted to share with you!

Guys, as many have asked me by now, let's talk about CURVE Stop Loss!

Below I attach a graph of the basic trend of CURVE, with the fault settings (100 pips SL). As you already know, CURVE is a system that accumulates small profits (on average about 35 points each) against big, rare, Stop Loss.




It is evident that the moment you enter will determine whether or not you will have what is called Absolute DrawDown.

It is impossible to know it first, but those of you who enter the system in Entry Point 1 will be able to accumulate enough profits to face the next SL, without seeing their initial capital affected. 

Otherwise, those of you who unfortunately enter the system in Entry Point 2, will not be able to accumulate enough profits, and will experience a period of damage to their initial capital.


As it is always good to repeat, no one can know how the future will go, but the backtest suggests that we can judge the system only in the long period.


I personally go to sleep every night convincing myself that tomorrow there will be a SL. For me it's a psychological technique that works.


Specifically at this moment we haven't seen a Stop Loss in a very long time so guys get ready, go to bed tonight, tomorrow there will be one! :)))

Live Signal Stop Loss in Pips weekly update: from tomorrow i will set it to 380.


For who's curious, this is the simple formula I use to calculate it every time:


((Profit / 2) * ActualLots) / Bid


Substituting with values:


((766,06 / 2) * 1,18) / 1,19 = (rounded) 380


When the result of the formula will be 1000, we will have "arrived", 1000 is in fact the best performing SL from backtest optimization.

CURVE version 1.4 has just been released!


Now in the settings you can choose the Magic Number you prefer, this will allow CURVE to run simultaneously with other EAs within the same account!


VERY IMPORTANT:  Do not upgrade CURVE to version 1.4 if you have BUY or SELL operations open.
