Advanced News Filter

Can be Enabled/Disabled from the chart panel, thanks to this filter you can avoid trading during important news and reports. The news filter can increase the Win Rate of the system.

To activate this feature, you have to configure MT4 terminal to allow WEB Requests to load news from one of the following sources:

Just navigate to MT4 terminal -> Tools -> Options -> Expert Advisors -> Allow WebRequests for listed URL (check the image below):

Advanced Time Management System

Sterling Hedger provides Hours Management Filter. With this option, you can specify the hours that the EA must trade within it. You can also configure the robot to trade or not on individual week days. Kindly pay attention to set properly the target hours intervals to trade, i.e. if you want the robot to trade one single hour from 2 to 3, just set in the input 2,3,2,3 (the minimum to set is 4 digits), if you want the robot to trade from 1 to 4 and from 6 to 7 and from 13 to 22 you have to set them this way: 1,4,6,7,13,22.  This is a very strong setting that help you to trade the best periods when the EA shows best result and let you avoid the most dangerous periods.

N.B: If GMT settings is set to false, all the set hours in the Time Filter will be functional in broker server time. Otherwise, if GMT settings is set to true, Trading Hours will be calculated as Trading Hours- GMT Offset.

 

Money Management

Sterling Hedger is equipped with Money Management System. You can use fixed lots or set a risk in percent, so the robot will automatically calculate the lots according to the risk and your account balance.

 

Friday Exit System

Sterling Hedger comes with Friday Exit System. It is known that sometimes it could be risky to trade on Friday because the trades may remain during the weekend and may be closed on big losses due to Monday gaps. Sterling Hedger includes a Friday Exit system, so you can set the robot to close all trades on Friday evening at a specified hour. Friday Exit System can also delete any remained pending orders.

 

Account Equity Guard

Can be Enabled/ Disabled directly from the chart panel, the Equity Guard is a very useful tool. If enabled, it monitors your Account Equity and executes the requested actions if any of the input conditions is triggered, i.e. the user funds his account with 5000 USD. Let’s say the profit value is 3000 and the loss value is 20% by default. If the equity jumps to 8000 or drops by 20% to 4000, the requested actions will be executed. These requested actions can be: closing all the open positions or/and  deleting all the pending orders or/and disable the trading activity of the EA.

NB: The profit and the loss value can be set as fixed amounts or a percentages.

Rollover Auto-Detection System

This feature is very important as it notifies you the exact start of the Rollover hour in your broker-chart time, so you can avoid making any entries. As well, Sterling Hedger provides you with the ability to customize the Spread Filter during the Rollover hour (Check the Max Spread During Rollover in the input settings). All you have to do is to set correctly your broker GMT Offset.

 

Slippage, Spread and Broker Protection

Sterling Hedger is equipped with a control algorithm to detect any big Slippage and interfere to avoid it. As well Sterling Hedger monitors the spread around the clock and protect all entry and exit transactions from any unusual spread value, in addition to the Stealth Mode which is a built-in feature that hides all the SL and TP levels from the terminal, and forbids all brokers potential SL chasing or hunting.

N.B: Stealth Mode can be Enabled/Disabled directly from the chart panel.

E-mail and Mobile Push Notification System

Sterling Hedger can inform you about all actions performed in your account. All you have to do is to set-up your terminal to receive these notifications by email or via mobile phone.

 

STERLING HEDGER INPUTS PARAMETERS

 ========Sterling Hedger=======

Trading_Button: True or False (if True Sterling Hedger is fully active, if False the robot does not execute new trades or place pending orders but it still monitor the already opened positions).

Magic Number: Set the Sterling Hedger Magic Number. It is extremely important to keep this different for all robots.

 

 

 ====Broker & Spread Protection====

Stealth_Button: True or False. If it is True all stop loss and take profit will be hidden from the broker to avoid stop loss hunting.  

 Max Entry Spread: Max allowed spread for position opening (Value in pips).

Max Exit Spread: Max allowed spread for position closing (Value in pips).

Max Slippage: Max allowed slippage for position opening (value in Pips).

Auto Lot: True or False.

Risk Factor: Set the required percent risk.

Fixed Lot:  Set the required entry lot.

Email Notification: True or False - enable/disable email notifications.

GMT Offset: True or False.

Offset Value: Set your broker GMT Offset.

 

=======Rollover Detection Time and Spreads========

Broker GMT Offset Value: Set your broker GMT Offset in order to properly detect the Rollover Hour.

Rollover Time Filter: True or False - It switches on/off the rollover time filter.

Pause Trading Before Rollover: Set in minutes - Time interval before Rollover start hour in which all trading operations will be canceled.

Start Trading After Rollover: Set in minutes - Time interval after Rollover finish hour in which all trading operations will be canceled.

Use Max Spread During Rollover: True or False. It switches on/off the rollover customized Spread Filter.

Max Spread Value During Rollover: Set the Maximum Spread Value during the Rollover.

========Trading Hours Management System==========

Use Time Filter: True or False. If True it opens new positions only during the specified hours in the specified days, if False it opens positions 24/24. The minimum to set is 4 digits. If you want the robot to trade from 1 to 4 and from 6 to 7 and from 13 to 22 you have to set them this way: 1,4,6,7,13,22.

Monday Trading Hours: Set the trading hours separated by comma, for example: 0,1,22,23. In this case, the EA trades on monday from hour 0 to 1 and from hour 22 to 23.

Disable Trading: True or False. If true it turns off the Trading button, so Sterling Hedger does not take any new positions.

Close All Open Positions: True or False. If it is True, the robot closes all the opened positions.
