Hi Kevin. I recently bought this tool and I am getting to know it, but I have observed that trailing stops are not automatic, they do not close the trade when they touch them. Are trailing stops only virtual and informative or is there a way to close the trade automatically? Thanks.

Hello, thanks for your purchase. If you could send me a DM with some screenshots I would appreciate it. The EA should definitely close a trade if the TS gets hit. Also, let me know if you are seeing any errors in your Experts tab.

By default MT4 displays the bid chart, so your sell orders need to exit at the ask price.

Hi Kevin. I have also bought your product and I have the same problem that indicates "sofrito". The TS do not evolve according to the ATR indicated by the TS; having to enter them manually.
I would like you to tell me why this problem is due, I think that my configuration is correct and in fact, in the strategy simulator it works correctly, but not in real life.

I await your response in order to solve this "problem" as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Hi, I will find where this issue is coming from an update the new version soon.
What currency pair and time frame you are trading? Thanks!

I have been testing the EA on the EURUSD pair and it seemed to use the trailing stop correctly. I believe that the EA places the stops and take profits and then, the broker has to fill and close the orders.

Please check the attached picture.

Could you please provide screenshots of your Experts and Journal's tab when the EA should be closing the trade?

Hi. I trade with GBPUSD, EURUSD, USDCAD Time Frame 30M. I repeat, the 3 ATR's work correctly in the strategy tester.

However in the real account the Trailing Stop does not work; although if the ATR, S of Take Profit and Stop Loss do it correctly.

Greetings.

Also, I have an EA similar to Panel Pro that with the same broker, currencies and timeframe ... it works correctly; so it is not a question of the broker or the account.

Are you using the consolidation strategy from the previous version? And, what values are you using for atr tp, atr sl and atr ts?

Also, please tell me if you are seeing errors in the Experts or Journal's tab when price touches the ts and the EA should be closing that trade.

Hello. I have never used that strategy in the previous version, only the PullBack and the Breakout. In the current one I use the same ones.

The values I use for the TS are 5.0 for both gbpusd and eurusd. the rest of the ATRs correctly place the trades for me.

Finally, I have not seen errors in the Expert journal because the Trailing Stop order simply never appears when the ATR crosses the buy price in profit; which you do in the strategy tester.

I invite you to try for yourself in a real or demo account what the clients are telling you.

I have uploaded the new version. Please give it a try. The ATR TS did show up in my live account. And when price crossed it, the trade was closed.
News events can widen spreads and server delay may cause these issues.
Is this happening all the time or occasionally? If you could provide screenshots that would be helpful as I am not seeing this problem on my platform.

I use Oanda by the way.

Thanks for your answer. My broker is Darwinex. I am going to update the new version that you have prepared to 1.5 and test its operation. I comment on the results when I observe the development.

Hello again, Kevin.

I have updated to version 1.5 and have found something that I do not understand. In the "consolidation" or "technical" strategy, what kind of strategies are they? The first is Pullback and the second strategy is Breakout? Please clarify this point because it is very important to know what each of them is like.

Thank you.

Technical is a combination of the 3 previous strategies in one with the algo improved (breakout, crossover and pullback). Consolidation is a strategy that can have up to 4 trades open at once. You can choose the lot sizes for subsequent trades.

I am always open to change and improve the trading strategies. So please let me know.

Thank you very much for your explanation. Now I understand it better. Perhaps the point is that you have developed a very good product for both the previous version and this one.

I particularly liked being able to choose between which of the strategies to use in each currency pair, although I also understand your idea - in the new version - as you have explained and I have been able to verify, of grouping them in a single algorithm.

Again, thank you very much for your responses.

EA should take into account orders already opened and not open too many new orders.  Also, shouldn't open too many orders within a short time. If you can add ability to wait until a new candle or wait an  amount of time input by the user, that would help avoid too many orders which can cause margin call under some circumstances.  Fewer orders might not seem so profitable but it is safer and ensures likelihood of long-term success.

Previous especially important when user must close MT4 terminal and reopen and not fear new orders will be opened not taking into account existing orders.

Hello, the EA should open trades only at the beginning of a new candle or on the first tick after you open your terminal. If that's not the case, please let me know.
What currency pair are you trading? Are you using the consolidation strategy? What ATR SL and ATR TP?

The EA reads data from the History log, closing and reopening your terminal may delete all the information in it.

If you do so, you always have the option to turn off autotrading and wait for your open positions to hit their targets. Then, you could switch autotrading on again.

Thank you
