Hi. There are only 2 settings and they have been explained already in the description. You can start out with default settings and go from there. If no lines draw, decrease the 'Min_Cluster_Number' and/or increase the 'Lookback_Candles'. If too many lines appear, increase the 'Min_Cluster_Number' and/or decrease the 'Lookback_Candles'. There are no definite good or bad settings. Since the market is always changing, so will the settings. For example, if you are using on the H1 and an entire week of trading is flat with not much action, you cannot expect the same settings to work. And the same for a week that has been extremely volatile. If the market is volatile, there will be more reversal points recognized. So there will be more lines produced using the same settings you may have used before which produced few lines. The indicator bases it's calculations off past market action.

About the old lines disappearing, it is assumed you mean after switching TFs for the same chart symbol. If so, what you are saying can happen. The 'Lookback_Candles' controls how many past candles will be used. So let's say you have it set to 200 and run the indicator for 10 hours on the H1. Lines draw and during this 10 hours, 10 new candles form. The indicator will always use the previous 200 candles. Which means the oldest 10 candles are no longer used, but the newer 10 candles are added. The oldest 10 candles could have had some reversal points that were previously used in calculations. So when you reinitialize the indicator by switching TFs, the old lines will disappear and the indicator will use the last 200 candles. As a result, you will see lines disappear because they were based off candles that are no longer even recognized.

About why nothing appears on long period charts, well, they do appear. The indicator works the same no matter what TF is used. Usually longer TF's have fewer candles on the chart. For example, if you have 'Lookback_Candles' set to 200 and use a weekly chart, there may not even be 200 candles on the chart! The indicator can only use how many candles are on the chart. Also, you may need to adjust the 2 settings as explained above.
