But still, I will try my best to ensure that Asmani will give you profit with minimum possible risk. I am always in process of improving the EA based on tests and suggestions by anyone. Please feel free to convey me your suggestions so that Asmani can be made more safe / robust and profit making EA..

But have question,The new setting is

I think ProfitPerBasket on formar version was "70". No problem?

The parameters are changed now based on the optimisation back tests done in last 4-5 days. Also, one more EMA check is added to avoid few false signals. Hence ProfitPerBasket can be more now. May be number of trades will be slightly less now... You can safely set to 1.0 USD (Or 100 JPY).. Also, if you set MartinAdd = true, then you can even set the ProfitPerBasket  = 1.5 or more.

But I suggest that you do backtests at your end and based on your Money Management and risk capacity, please set proper combinations of Lotmultiplier, MartinAdd and PPB (ProfitPerBasket )

Based on many back tests in last few days, I have made changes in default values and updated new version 17.2

After 100s of combinations tested, here is a guiding summary table which shows various combinations of input values with their safety level, profit level.

I request you all to study this table and also do some back testing at your end and then finalise the inputs to be given.

I will also update few more tables shortly.

Please message me anytime if you wish to discuss more on this.

Can you give profitable settings for 2014/2015?

2015-5 til 2016-5 same settings

SL 100 --> 8x hit, DD -40%, you need about 100 profitable trades to recover a single loss (by SL).

without SL --> huge DD -77%!! nearly stop out

See attached images showing following results of back testing done on Asmani 17.2 on EURUSD 15 Min Timeframe

1) Time period (1st Jan 2015 to 31st Dec 2018) Tick data 99.9%

2) Start Capital = $ 1000 .... End Capital = $ 51,000

3) All inputs as default .. except MartinAdd = True , BasketSL = True (125) and LotMultiplier = 30;

4) Total Profit =  $50,900 Total Trades= 6812,  Maximum Drawdown = 34.2%

5) Total SL Hit = 7 times in 4 years.

We can make many more such combinations of inputs as per our capital and risk taking capacity. I will add more in next 1-2 days.

Trend slope is the slope of opposite trend when a trade is taken. e.g. If Asmani is ready to take a Buy Trade then it will check whether the Sell Trend is strong or not... If its strong, then Buy trade is not taken. More the value of Trend Slope, more the number of trades... The value of Trend Slope can be set between 0 to 5.

I have sent you one input set for period 2015-2018.... By using proper and extensive optimisation methods, we can find many such sets which can give profits as required. These combinations will have various levels of Safety and Profit level. Based on our capital and risk taking capability, we can set suitable combination and start trading. But sill my views are as follow

My views on Back Testing in General :

Frankly, I always think, that in trying to make the EA work for EACH AND EVERY case happened in the past 10-15 years, we unnecessarily making the EA too much conservative and losing lot of profit. Also, we are not even sure that such odd case will repeat in next few years.

Also even if we make the EA conservative, still there is NO 100% GUARANTEE that any EA can give you 100% safe and huge profit for lifetime. So, there is always a risk involved if you want to make good profit in this market. 

Also please note the results of the back tests are not only dependent on the year. It also depends on the start date ! You may get different results if you do one back test from 1st Jan 2015 and other from say 10th Jan 2015. Hence process of back test is endless... Believe it or not, but the best EA which gives very good back test results from 1st Jan 2015 to 31 Dec 2016, may fail if it is tested from 10th Jan 2015 to 31st Dec 2016. So ideally you have to do millions of tests to satisfy that the EA will work in all conditions, which is practically impossible.

Some bitter facts are 

1) You cannot optimise one parameter in any EA and that parameter is trader's LUCK...

2) The only EA which can be 110% safe, is the EA which will not make any trades on the account..

To summarise, we have to live with the risk and luck factor and go ahead with a tool which is 90% working fine, and leave rest 10% to our fate... Its never possible to aim for 100% surely !

Our friend Domenico (Asmani Client) has sent one more set of inputs for period of 2001-2019 using version Asmani 17.2
