I was running Donchian last month with a £300 pot and doubled it by 1st Dec. I withdraw the original investment so I was running with only the profit. On 4th Dec eight buy trades stopped out clear out my account.  I'm running ICMarker ECN account. 

Looking at your online signal account (https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/461736) it didn't get totally wiped out like I did. I have attached the list of transactions and the *set I was using.

Did your ICMarker live account get wiped out?

If not, can you have a look at the attached set file and let me know where it all went wrong.

The set file you are using has a minimum balance of at least £1200, which I think is why you have had the issue. If you want to trade small balances then either Night Lottery (EURUSD) or Aeon (USDJPY) is your best bet, Donchian has too much equity DD for small accounts.

I took your advice about the size of the account and opened an ECN ICMarket demo account with £1400. Unfortunately this also tanked. See attachments. May be some enhancement need to be added to prevent such large drawn downs.

Set file for EURUSD 2017-onwards

Martingale EA, needs optimazation between lot size and balance.  Should turn off during news events.   Does trade at least once per day.   Behave differently on different brokers and spread. Advisible to use on FBS for consistency. Overall, for a free EA, it is by far the best one I ever had. Even though it is exposed to high risk using martingale, it also makes good profits from that. I attached below the set file that I use for USDJPY. The author is very responsive and explain the EA input very well, therefore I am able to use the EA well.

You would need to optimise the EA for the currency pair you want to trade, I would start with EURUSD and USDJPY.
