I understand that a classic stop might not work, but surely the option for an overall loss limiter of some kind to close all orders if balance falls below X% would be useful to protect gains.

I think some settings allowing it to only trade between certain times of day would be handy
as well as a max spread filter.

The default input settings are optimized for EURUSD. I recommend using at least 3000 units of deposit for one symbol and then adding 1000 units of deposit for each additional symbol.
I have no other ready-made settings.
I recommend checking any settings before starting on a live account. Use optimization to find the best settings for a specific symbol. Here is a link to an article on optimization - https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/586

I have tested the EA and it is fairly good grid system with additional logic of entry. Good EA.

it blows up twice in 2020
really surprised would not have bought it if I knew I had to do quite a bit of work to figure out proper settings

All our products that are sold through the market on the MQL5 website do not imply custom modifications for the needs of a particular user.
Unfortunately, the functionality you are talking about does not fit into the strategy of this EA.

Unfortunately, I do not have a set file for the OILUSD pair.
For pairs: USDJPY and AUDUSD, you can try to test the set file from the attachment.
These settings are optimized for the timeframe from M15 to H1.
