PM me for honest review before you buy or if you have any questions. I have been using it extensively for a for more than 6 months

I would like to get some feedback from others using this indicator. For the past week and again today, it opens trades that reverse almost instantly. It's almost like if there was a reverse trade signal setting it would work better. The signals will result in SL.

I have sent support an message but I have not received an acceptable response and figured I would post a comment.

In the next release, we are adding a 'big candle' filter that would have filtered out that type of erroneous trade, where the market had already moved quite a bit before the indicators had lined up. Also, to get the most out of Indicator Combine, it's best to use with custom indicators, as they generally perform better than MetaTrader's built-in ones. The default configuration of Indicator Combine has to use MetaTrader's built-in indicators, as we don't know what custom indicators a user will have installed.

You lost me. I thought IC Combine was an indicator. Are you saying that it wont work properly on its own?

Indicator Combine is an indicator that is designed to combine other indicators into a single alert/signal. For example, if you have 5 indicators then IC can alert/trade when they are all in agreement. Those indicators can be MetaTrader's built-in standard indicators but also what are known as custom indicators, i.e. indicators that can be installed into MetaTrader from third parties. Custom indicators generally perform better than MetaTrader's standard indicators, as that's the reason they were created. Our default configuration gets the best out of MetaTrader's standard built-in indicators that all MetaTrader installations are supplied with.

So IC Combine is just a tool to combine factory crappy indicators?

This is not good news since I am running this on a live account and was under the impression that it was a good system. It seems it is a good system with a major shortcoming.

This now begs the question, which custom indicators can be used? This question opens up a new can of worms that will require much trial and error to come to any conclusion as to which indicator to use. Given I was under the impression that the system was complete, it is not.

Another issue of trial and error is cost. In order to trial an custom indicator with your indicator, one has to purchase the additional third party indicator just to try and see if it works? Then theres also which indicators are supported with your indicator.

This is not good news and it feels like a let down.

Please let me know which indicators your indicator works with that can be used successfully to replace the default indicators of MT4.

> So IC Combine is just a tool to combine factory crappy indicators?

No, you can combine custom indicators as well. And a lot of traders do use moving average crosses, stochastic, RSI, MACD, which are all factory indicators.

Our default configuration, even though we can only use factory indicators, had good stats at the time it was created. We'll have a look a tweaking it for current market conditions. The 'big candle' filter we mentioned for the next release should help also. Don't forget to use our 'Other Chart Results' feature to select the best symbol / period to trade. You can also quickly see the effect of tweaking trading hours, stop loss, take profit, etc., based on recent market conditions, with our stats.

Indicator Combine is much faster than using the strategy tester and can produce stats for multiple symbols/periods at once, which can't be done in the strategy tester in MetaTrader 4.

> This now begs the question, which custom indicators can be used?

Generally most that give a buy/sell indication. Examples on our product page: http://www.runwisefx.com/ic

> one has to purchase the additional third party indicator just to try and see if it works?

No. If you run Indicator Combine in the strategy tester then you can use the free demo versions of paid for indicators in Market. Even though running in the strategy tester you'll still get the instant stats as it can look at the chart data already loaded.

There are also plenty of custom indicators that are available on-line for free that are well regarded, such as TDI (Traders Dynamic Index). As it happens we are currently expanding our example strategies part of the manual and we will using some of these indicators, where we will be supplying links.

I have a question about Indicator Inputs.

In the documentation for I.C. v4.0, there is this input:

Main_calcOnNewBarOnly

"If true then only calculates indicator after a candle has just closed a new candle has opened.

If false then live candle indicator value may repaint during candle."

This appears to have disappeared in the .pdf for I.C. v4.1 (which is labelled by you 'Issue 1.6').

Was this feature dropped from v4.1?

Was this ever in v4.0?  (I didn't use that input item, but I compare the documentation on each new version released.)

Was this feature replaced by some other undocumented equivalent?

Was this an idea that was going to be in some future version but was mistakenly included in the documentation?

What if I start to build a system based on a feature and in the next version you drop it?

Is there some way I can see the next three versions that you have planned?

Can you put the feature list for future enhancements right in the current documentation so that I

will know what I will be working with when you incorporate those enchancements?

(You could mark "F" for Feature not actually in the product.) (Futureware.)

Please fee free to start anywhere in answering my questions. I guess I should have numbered

them for future reference.

It's still there. It's called Option_calcOnNewBarOnly. Most users though will set it via CONFIG button | Options pop-up. Anything done via Config button supersedes what is set in inputs. Not planning any major new features, just on going tweaks, e.g. adding compatibility with new indicators.

When will this release be available?

When will this release be available?

Actually, it is in V4.2, we just had missed it off the What's New. It's called F:MoveMax that is available from the Indicator Name selection list. Set the Mid Point box to say 20 if you don't want to trade if market moved more that 20% of Average Daily range since trend change. Also, set Capture Value method Value Below Mid. We'll update the manual today.
