I'm trying to backtest the EA on EURUSD M5 with the default settings, but it seems like it only starts to trade from 2014-01-03, is there a reason for this? When backtesting the EA, do I have to select "Every tick", or does "Control points"/"Open prices only" work as well?

It's possible to test the EA from 2014 only, because more or less true M5 history is available from that period, even Ducascopy's.

Test on "every tick".

TPPips - for martin strategy.

Trailing - for all strategies.

I just started using the EA on 11/6, but it hasn't opened any trades yet. I am using the EA on a very low spread EURUSD pair, M5 timeframe, and made no changes to the settings. Am I doing anything incorrectly?

send some screenshots of your terminal and parameters of the EA in PM to me - let's check everything.

On such small deposit with MartinStrategy=false trades will be rare. The EA does not trade every day.

Сам пользуюсь Tickstory для своих советников, поэтому возник этот вопрос.

Hi. Of course, for more safety it's recommended (but not necessary) to turn the EA off during big news.
