I am using the "Conservative Risk" settings which means Grid Hero will only start trading at a designated time every day.
The purpose of this is to take opportunity of the low volatility period to scalp the market as much as possible and then allowing at most a single grid cycle per day if the EA enters into grid mode.
Once a grid cycle is closed, Grid Hero will wait for the next day at the designated time to start scalping the market again.
In this way, it allows the market to 'reset' itself or lose unwanted momentum if ever the market is making irrational price movement (especially when UK & US sessions start).
Safe trading...

Dave

Grid Hero is done for the week and will resume trading on Monday 22:00 GMT+3 (Time Filter Enabled).
All trades are closed with no carry over trades to the weekend which is good.
Again, Grid Hero is 100% automated, designed to automatically start, stop and pause trading at specific times, no intervention required.
News Filter is very easy to use, no hassle at all as there is NO NEED to use DLL. Just follow the simple instructions at the Overview page to enable it.
Grid Hero is very easy to setup as well, just 2 simple steps:
1) Apply Set File
2) Follow the steps on the Overview page to add News Source URL and set your broker's GMT Offset value
And then...just sit back and let it trade while you sleep.
If you need help, please don't hesitate to PM me.

Dave

Grid Hero Real Signal on Myfxbook (verified portfolio):
Regardless of a uptrend, a downtrend, or a ranging market, they all have a similarity: Prices always move in a "ebb and flow" manner, a nature of the Forex market.
Grid Hero takes advantage of these "ebb and flow" nature of the market, to bank in profits from the constant contention between the bulls and bears.
While there will always be the rare and exceptional days when market becomes extremely biased to one side, then your strategies will need to be able to brave such days with an edge to recover.
The previous 2 weeks were good examples of such unforgiving market conditions which took out a few of the popular EAs.
But is not that the EAs are not good, but its just that the market was too brutal, and too unexpected.
Grid Hero was able to cope well from the recent hostile conditions with reasonably low draw down and was able to turn losses into profits - I think that was a good robustness test in real life.
One good thing worth noting about Grid Hero is that it operates in full STEALTH mode. It doesn't use limit or stop orders and doesn't leave traces of TP or SL, which can be manipulated by brokers.
Grid Hero manages trade entries and exists on the fly and do all its computing in the background, its all hidden.
Feel free to PM me if you've questions about Grid Hero.
And if any Forex Newbies out there who need advice on general Forex matters, I'll be glad to advice as well if its within my capability and knowledge.
Trade safe and have a good weekend...
Regards,
Dave
Good Proximity to Take Profit is a key element to successful grid strategy.
It is critical for any grid strategies to constantly maintain a reachable take profit level, so that it can take opportunities of the ebb & flow movement of the price to close out a grid cycle with a profit. Basically grid strategy needs to have an "adaptive" TP that adjusts itself according to the spot rate, so that the distance to TP is always within reach via the constant ebb & flow movement of the price.
To achieve that, a grid strategy needs to have the capability of performing averaging computations of all the opened positions and work out the TP level on the fly with accordance to the spot rate. It is very risky and dangerous if a grid strategy always follows the same TP level and never changes it when market go strongly against the positions. Because the distance to TP might reach a point of no return when the TP distance is getting too far to reach with a declining margin. This is one of the main reasons why typical grid strategies always fail.
GRID HERO is built-in with a PIPS AVERAGING MATHEMATICAL ALGORITHM (P.A.M.A.) which relentlessly works out and adjusts the TP level (hidden TP) on the fly when market goes against it. It takes advantage of the constant ebb & flow movement of the market to close out its positions as a basket, so that TP is well within reach from the ebb & flow movement. Grid Hero is also built-in with a News Filter that is very easy to use and provides great security to the overall strategy in safe guarding against volatility triggered by news events. Besides that, Grid Hero is also equipped with Time Filter to let you trade in a desirable time range of low volatility - a definite advantage to have for a grid strategy. There are also other useful features like Spread Filter, Day Filter, Balance Protection feature, Quick Profit mode, etc.
Grid Hero is very easy to setup in just 2 simple steps:
1) Apply Set File
2) Follow the steps on the Overview page to add News Source URL and set your broker's GMT Offset value

Running your EA on reputable broker - a form of robustness test:
It is important that an EA remains profitable when running on a REPUTABLE broker.
Reputable brokers are usually regulated by local regulatory body and they must meet standards with accordance to their local regulatory agreements and guidelines.
Trading conditions on regulated brokers are usually more restrained with stringent controls and limitations in place.
For example, while an unregulated broker might easily offers huge leverage of up to 1000:1, a regulated broker usually offers a more subdued leverage of up to 400:1 or 500:1, and some even lower depending on the local regulations.
So running your EA on reputable broker would expose your EA to the restrained trading conditions and limitations, and REALISTICALLY testing your EA's survival ability to weather thru the market in a stringently controlled trading environment.
An EA that can remains profitable and maintains good stability on reputable broker will usually be more robust than those that can only survive on non-regulated brokers.
As such if you're already running your EA on reputable broker with good profitability and stability, then it is a very sign that your EA is robust.
That is the reason why I am running GRID HERO on reputable and regulated broker - a form of robustness check.

GRID HERO - News Filter cannot be back tested and hence back tests cannot accurately reflect Grid Hero's true potential:
News Filter is a critical element of Grid Hero and must be enabled for the long term success of the strategy.
However the News Filter cannot be back tested in the MT4 strategy tester and hence the real potential of Grid Hero's performance is not accurately reflected in back tests.
The only way to see Grid Hero's real potential is to run it on DEMO or REAL account with News Filter enabled.

As such, please don't be too overly obsessed with Grid Hero's back testing because all your back tests are completely missing out the true essence and power of the News Filter, which can only be seen on a Live account.
Grid Hero's built-in PIPS AVERAGING MATHEMATICAL ALGORITHM (P.A.M.A.)
Let's elaborate on Grid Hero's built-in PIPS AVERAGING MATHEMATICAL ALGORITHM (P.A.M.A.) using today's live trades as real live example.
Referring to the screen shot below from my real account, as you can see in today's trades transactions:
1) First Sell order was placed at 1.05962
2) But then price suddenly moved against our First Sell Order
3) Price moved up against our Sell Orders by 74 pips to 1.06701 when the last Grid Order was placed
4) Price then loses momentum after the strong up trend and then started to retrace down - the usual ebb & flow movement
5) Price only retraced 17 pips and Grid Hero EA exited all trades with profit using the Pips Averaging Mathematical Algorithm (P.A.M.A)
6) All these trades were opened and closed today as you can see in the trades history from the screen shot below
7) For further verification, you can also cross check with my live signal for this account: https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/274272
Safe trading and happy Easter to all of you traders out there.

Basically main point to show here with today trades is that despite the price moved against us by 74 pips, we only need a humble retracement of 17 pips to take profit.
This is the gist of Grid Hero, designed to take advantage of the ebb & flow nature of the Forex market, a phenomenon that we see everyday in trading.

A sneak preview of Grid Hero Version 3 - it includes a graphical panel:
I think there are many visual effect lovers out there who just love looking at graphical panels.
As such in Version 3, I will be adding on Grid Hero's very own graphical panel to display some useful trading data as well as real time news feeds.
The graphical panel is purely for display purpose, hence you can choose to enable or disable it - up to individual's preference.
Below is a sneak preview of the graphical panel:
The left side of the panel will show some trading data, while the right side will show real time news feeds.
News feeds appear on panel according to the selected news impact level High/Medium/Low.
The different levels of news impact are categorized by color codes. In the above screen shot, Red for High, Blue for Medium, and Green for Low.
Impact colors can be fully customized by selecting your own preferred color from the EA menu.
The color of the panel and the fonts can also be customized to your own preferred colors.
By the way, to be honest I am not a fan of graphical panels and I normally don't use it because I usually "set and forget" and hence never need to look at panels.
And also in case you are not aware, all graphical panels do take up quite a bit of resources and it slows down the EA.
As a developer I know because a typical panel will usually require some good chunks of codes to be written and processed tick by tick.
Just by looking at the panel you probably wouldn't notice, but behind the scene it actually involved massive amount of codes being processed constantly.
Anyway I still need to do some further testings before sending it to MQL for approval. So stay tuned for Version 3...
Safe trading...
Dave
A quick update on Version 3 - submitted to MQL for approval:
I've completed testing Version 3 and submitted to MQL for approval.
Here are the Version 3 updates:
Basically for this update, the Display Panel is the main update, while there is no change to the core trading algorithm.
