ICT Daily Bias Atlas Pro answers one question before the session: what is the bias of today, and which liquidity is the target? It reads the last two completed days, puts the day into one of eight clear cases, draws the previous day high and low with the reason, and shows on a panel what has happened so far today.
How the bias is decided (one rule set, no hidden parts)
The last completed day is compared with the day before it. Taking a high or a low means a price strictly beyond it.
- Case 1: took the high and closed above it - bullish
- Case 2: took the high but closed back inside - bearish
- Case 3: took the low and closed below it - bearish
- Case 4: took the low but closed back inside - bullish
- Case 5: took both sides, closed above the old high - bullish
- Case 6: took both sides, closed below the old low - bearish
- Case 7: took both sides, closed inside - no bias
- Case 8: inside day - no bias
The target is the previous day high for a bullish bias and the previous day low for a bearish one. The bias of a day is fixed from completed days only, so it does not change during the day; the status below it (high or low taken, target reached, price in premium or discount of the previous range) updates live.
Days that follow the clock you trade by
A day can start at New York 17:00 (the forex trading day), at New York midnight (the ICT daily open) or at the broker's midnight. The broker's clock is found from the Friday closes of the chart symbol, or, when it has none (crypto), of the other symbols of the Market Watch (it also works in the Strategy Tester); you can also set it by hand. If no clock can be found, the panel says so and nothing is calculated until you set it, so you never get a bias from a wrong clock. Summer time of New York is handled for every date. Days are built from the M15 bars of the chart symbol, so the bias is the same on every chart time frame.
What you get
- Previous day high and low across each of the last days (you choose how many), with the bias and the case written at the start of the day
- Panel: bias, case and reason, previous day high and low and whether they are taken today, target, position of the price inside the previous range (premium or discount)
- Week and month: bias of the week and of the month with the same eight cases, previous week and previous month high and low, and a line that says whether day, week and month agree
- Asian range (20:00 to 24:00 New York) as an outline box, the London window (02:00 to 08:00), which side was taken first and the other Asian extreme as the next target (liquidity cascade)
- CRT (candle range theory) on H1, H4, D1 or W1 candles: range candle, manipulation candle that takes one side and closes back inside, midpoint and opposite extreme as targets, the stop, and the result of each signal after at most ten candles (target 2, target 1, failed, expired or still pending)
- Scanner: the bias of up to 30 symbols at once (your list, or the first symbols of the Market Watch), with the case, which side is taken and where the price is inside the previous range
- Accuracy table: for the last days (you choose how many) how often the day closed in the direction of its bias and how often the target was taken, in total and for the case of today. The numbers are shown as they are, whatever they are
- Alerts (each one on its own switch): bias of the new day, previous day high taken, previous day low taken, Asian high or low taken, new CRT signal, target reached. Popup, push notification or e-mail. Attaching the indicator never fires old events
- Buffers for Expert Advisors: 0 bias (1, -1, 0), 1 previous day high, 2 previous day low, 3 case number (1 to 8), 4 CRT signal (1 or -1 on the first bar after the signal candle closed). Bars without a bias, for example the first days of the history, hold EMPTY_VALUE
How it was tested
The rules were written down first, then an independent program written in Python from the same text recalculated everything from the exported bars: days, bias cases, accuracy table, weeks, months, Asian ranges and CRT signals. About 5,300 result lines from 9 Strategy Tester runs (EURUSD with the March and the November summer time changes, gold, all three day modes, and CRT on H1, H4, D1 and W1) were compared with the indicator: 0 differences. It also ran without errors on four different charts and time frames, the alert fired once and did not repeat, and all chart objects are removed with the indicator.
Please read before you buy
- This is a reading of rules, not a forecast. A bias is not a trade signal, and no result is promised. Look at the accuracy table of your own symbol first: on some symbols and periods the rules are no better than chance, and the table shows that.
- The days are built from M15 bars, so the terminal needs M15 history of the symbol (it loads it by itself when you open the chart). Test it first on a demo account.
- The automatic search of the broker's clock reads the Friday closes of a currency pair. If it finds none (some indices), the panel says "NOT found" and you set the clock by hand in the inputs.
- The scanner reads the symbols you list or the Market Watch symbols; a symbol without M15 history shows "no data" and is tried again every few seconds until the history is loaded.
- CRT uses the candles of the time frame you choose, as the broker draws them.
- In the Strategy Tester the indicator draws only in the visual mode (the buffers are always calculated).
Setup in one minute
1. Attach the indicator to any chart. 2. Leave the clock on automatic (on indices set it by hand). 3. Choose where a day starts and how many days to draw. 4. Switch on the alerts you want. The panel can be moved to the other corner, and the colours are inputs.
Questions
- Does it repaint? The bias of a day uses completed days only and does not change during the day. The status of the current day (taken, reached) updates with the price, as it should.
- Can an EA read it? Yes, through the five buffers described above.
- Is there a free version? Yes: ICT Daily Bias Atlas Starter shows the daily bias, the previous day levels and their status, the Asian range and one alert. Week and month, London and cascade, CRT, the scanner, the accuracy table, all alerts and the buffers are in this version.
