Hilo Flow Management is a technical indicator designed to help traders analyze market direction, identify potential trend reversals, and plan their trades using visual entry levels, Stop Loss, Stop Gain, and profit targets.

It combines three essential functions in a single tool: candlestick coloring, HiLo trend line, and visual trade management.

How Does Hilo Flow Management Work?

The indicator uses the HiLo Activator concept to monitor price movements and identify possible changes in market direction.

1. Candlestick Coloring: automatically identifies bullish, bearish, and potential reversal conditions using customizable colors.
2. HiLo Trend Line: displays a dynamic reference that helps traders monitor the current market direction.
3. Reversal Detection: highlights potential reversal candles and uses confirmed conditions to establish new trading references.
4. Entry Reference: displays a visual price level to support trade planning.
5. Technical Stop Loss: calculates a protection reference based on the reversal candle, including an adjustable safety margin.
6. Automatic Profit Targets: projects target levels using multiples of the initial risk distance.
7. Trailing Stop: monitors price development and suggests stop adjustments when the configured conditions are met.
8. Stop Gain Protection: highlights potential opportunities to protect accumulated gains.

Input Parameters

1. HiLo and Trend Settings

• HiLo Period: determines the number of candles used for the HiLo calculation. Default reference: 8 periods.
• ExibirColoracao (Candlestick Coloring): enables or disables automatic candlestick coloring.
• ExibirLinha (Show HiLo Line): shows or hides the HiLo trend line.
• CorAlta (Bullish Color): customizes bullish candlestick colors.
• CorBaixa (Bearish Color): customizes bearish candlestick colors.
• CorReversao (Reversal Color): customizes potential reversal candlestick colors.

2. Trade Management Settings

• ExibirGestao (Show Trade Management): enables or disables visual trade management levels.
• Stop Loss Safety Margin: adjusts the additional margin applied to the initial technical Stop Loss. Default reference: 25%.
• Risk-to-Reward Targets: defines the risk multiples used to calculate projected profit targets.
• Trailing Stop: controls dynamic protection references according to the options available in the installed version.

3. Chart Display Settings

• ExibirTextos (Show Labels): displays or hides chart labels and price information.
• ExibirTextoAguardando (Show Waiting Message): controls the message displayed while waiting for a new trading setup.
• CorTextoAguardando (Waiting Message Color): customizes the waiting message color.
• ManterUltimoPlano (Keep Last Trade Setup): keeps the last completed trading setup visible. By default, completed trade references are hidden.

Parameter names and available settings may vary depending on the indicator version.

Practical Risk Management Example

Consider a hypothetical buy trade with an entry price of 100 and an initial Stop Loss at 90.

The initial risk is 10 points. Using risk-to-reward multiples of 1R, 2R, and 3R, the projected targets would be:

• Target 1: 110 (1R).
• Target 2: 120 (2R).
• Target 3: 130 (3R).

As the market develops, the indicator may suggest new protection levels according to the configured trade management conditions.

Hilo Flow Management is a visual technical indicator. It does not automatically execute trades or modify Stop Loss orders at the broker.
