Gold Prop Momentum is a fully automated Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (Gold) on the M1 chart, built for prop-firm challenges and funded accounts as well as personal accounts. It trades momentum continuation on gold, only on days whose conditions suit the strategy, with a fixed stop loss and take profit on every trade and built-in guards that help you stay inside common prop-firm rules.
HOW IT TRADES
- Enters when gold has just moved strongly in one direction and is likely to continue.
- A daily condition check decides whether the day suits the strategy; on other days it does not trade.
- Every trade has a fixed stop loss and take profit from the moment it opens.
- One position at a time, with a limited number of entries per day.
PROP-FIRM GUARDS
- Daily loss halt: no new entries once the account is down a set percentage for the day, measured from the day's starting balance.
- Configurable start of the trading day, to match your prop firm's daily reset.
- No new entries close to the weekend close, and none late on early-close holiday sessions.
- Optional Friday flatten for accounts that do not allow holding over the weekend.
RISK CONTROL
- Risk per trade is set by you as a percentage of balance.
- Optional maximum lot size.
- No grid, no martingale, no averaging into losing trades, no hedging.
BACKTEST
The screenshots show an MT5 Strategy Tester backtest on XAUUSD M1 from 2 March to 16 October 2026, "Every tick based on real ticks", 100,000 starting balance, 1% risk per trade. These are backtest results, not live trading results. Past results do not guarantee future results.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold), M1 timeframe. Attach to one chart only.
- Broker server time GMT+2/+3 (most prop firms and brokers). The EA prints the detected server offset when it starts.
- A low-spread account and a VPS are recommended.
- Always check your prop firm's current rules. The guards help you stay inside them but cannot guarantee it.
