Irockez Gold Trader

Irockez Gold Trader is a gold (XAUUSD) Expert Advisor that trades breakouts of key levels. Every trade has a stop loss. No grid, no martingale, no averaging.

How it works

  • Core A — breakout of the previous day's high/low. One trade per direction per day, SL and TP are set on entry, profit is protected by a trailing stop.
  • Core B — breakout of multi-day M5 extremes (levels 1–7 days old). Stop loss, break-even, virtual take profit, failed-breakout exit.
  • Filters: NFP and FOMC days, US bank holidays (MT5 calendar + built-in dates), weekend close, daily drawdown limit.

Risk presets (RiskPreset input)

  • LOW, MEDIUM, HARD — from conservative to elevated risk.
  • EXTREME — aggressive small-account growth; a losing trade can cost up to ~20% of the deposit.
  • EVIL — EXTREME with a wide Core A trailing stop: more profit on trend days, deeper drawdowns.
  • OWNER — the author's settings: elevated Core A risk, news and weekend filters off.
  • CUSTOM — manual position sizing in the Monetary Management groups.

Main inputs

  • RiskPreset — risk preset (see above).
  • CoreARiskMode / CoreBRiskMode — lot sizing for CUSTOM: 0 = risk %, 1 = fixed lot, 2 = lot per balance step, 3 = risk-level table.
  • CoreARiskLevel / CoreBRiskLevel — risk level 0..7 (0.01 lot per $1200 … $100 of balance).
  • CoreARiskPercent, CoreAFixedLot, CoreALotsPer1000, CoreABalanceStep (same for B) — settings of the chosen lot mode.
  • LongOnly, CoreBAllowBuy, CoreBAllowSell — allowed directions.
  • TradeMonday … TradeFriday — trading days.
  • AvoidNFPDays, AvoidFOMCDays, AvoidUSHolidays — news-day and US holiday filters.
  • MaxDrawdownPercent — daily equity drawdown limit (0 = off).
  • AvoidWeekendExposure — close positions on Friday at 22:57 server time.
  • A_TrailStart, A_TrailDist — Core A trailing stop (in gold price dollars).
  • MagicNumber, CoreBMagicNumber — magic numbers of Core A and Core B.

Recommendations

  • XAUUSD, any chart timeframe (the EA uses M5/M1/D1 data internally).
  • Hedging account — Core A and Core B may hold positions at the same time.
  • Deposit from $100, a broker with tight gold spreads.
  • Backtest with "Every tick based on real ticks".
