Gemini Yen Phoenix is a USDJPY H1 Expert Advisor using automated grid and basket recovery

Gemini Yen Phoenix is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor designed for USDJPY on the H1 timeframe. It opens BUY positions and manages additional grid recovery entries as a basket.

Trading approach

The initial entry compares the current H1 candle price with the previous candle’s opening price. This condition uses the forming candle, rather than waiting for a completed-candle signal.

When price moves against existing positions, the EA can add BUY recovery layers. Recovery volume changes according to the configured multipliers and account balance-to-equity gap.

Default settings

• Initial volume: 0.01 lots.

• Base and healthy-position profit targets: 1.50 in account currency.

• Recovery basket profit target: 10.00 in account currency.

• Normal recovery spacing: 18 pips.

• Spacing after quarantine: 15.3 pips.

• Maximum basket positions: 25, including the initial position.

• Exceptional recovery volumes: 0.30, 0.55 and 0.15 lots at configured gap thresholds.

Position management

Before quarantine, individual profitable positions may close at their configured target. After quarantine begins, individual harvesting is disabled so profitable recovery positions remain available to support the basket.

Basket closing conditions use floating profit plus swap. Actual closing results can differ because of execution prices and charges.

Requirements

Use a MetaTrader 5 hedging account and the USDJPY H1 chart. This version requires the exact symbol name USDJPY; broker prefixes or suffixes are not supported.

The terminal or a suitable VPS must remain running and connected for the EA to manage trades. Existing positions are identified by symbol and magic number after a restart.

Testing and risk

Begin on a demo account. The reference demo configuration uses a USD 10,000 balance and a 0.01-lot initial entry; this is a testing reference, not a guarantee of sufficient capital.

Recovery trades can be substantially larger than the initial trade. This version has no combined-volume cap, stop-loss, maximum-loss exit or maximum-holding-time exit. Extended adverse price movements can cause substantial drawdown, margin exhaustion and loss of capital.
