Breakout Trailing Pro Adaptive trades EMA-based breakouts on Gold (XAUUSD), with ATR-based stop-loss sizing and an adaptive R-based exit management system.
What makes this different
Most breakout EAs manage trailing stops and break-even with a fixed point distance. On a volatile instrument like gold, that creates a hidden problem: a fixed distance that looks reasonable most of the time becomes far too tight whenever the stop-loss itself is wide (e.g. during high-ATR periods) — winning trades get locked in and closed early, while losing trades are still allowed to run to their full, much wider stop.
This EA fixes that by calculating break-even and trailing distances as a fraction of each trade's own stop-loss distance (an "R-multiple"), instead of a fixed number of points. A trade opened with a wide stop is given proportionally more room to run in profit; a trade opened with a tight stop is managed tightly. The legacy fixed-point behavior is still available as a toggle for direct comparison.

This configuration was reached through a structured comparison process: the same entry signals were tested with legacy fixed-point exits (Profit Factor 0.78–0.90) versus adaptive R-based exits (Profit Factor 0.90–1.00), then combined with an ADX trend-strength filter that was swept across multiple threshold values (18–32) to confirm it sits on a stable plateau rather than an isolated peak.
Honest status — please read
We'd rather under-promise than over-promise. Here's exactly where this EA stands:
- The exit-logic improvement (adaptive vs. fixed) has been validated with a controlled backtest comparison using identical entry signals — the win/loss ratio improved substantially.
- The current default settings reflect the best-performing combination found so far in backtesting — a breakeven-to-slightly-positive result, not a strongly profitable one.
- Walk-forward / out-of-sample validation across different market conditions is still in progress.
- This exact configuration does not yet have a live trading track record.
We are publishing at this stage so you can watch it trade in real time via our live signal rather than relying on a backtest screenshot alone. Please start on a demo account or with minimal risk, and follow the live signal before scaling up.
