Price Range Pro for MT5
is a graphical chart utility for MetaTrader 5 that allows traders to measure price movements directly on the chart. The utility calculates and displays the absolute price change and the percentage change between two selected points.
It can be used on different symbols and timeframes for visual market analysis. How to Use
1. Attach the utility to a MetaTrader 5 chart. 2. Click and drag from the starting point to the ending point. 3. Release the mouse button to create the range. 4. Move the handles to adjust the measurement. 5. The displayed price change and percentage will update automatically. The percentage change is calculated as follows: Percentage Change = (Ending Price - Starting Price) / Starting Price * 100
A positive price movement is displayed using the bullish color. A negative price movement is displayed using the bearish color.
Activation Button The activation button enables or disables the interactive functionality. When the utility is disabled, the range, handles, text, and price lines are hidden. The utility does not create new ranges or respond to handle movements until it is enabled again. Lock Button The lock button controls whether the range handles can be moved. When the range is unlocked, the handles can be dragged to adjust the measurement. When the range is locked, the existing range is protected from accidental modification. Candle Price Mode The candle price mode allows the user to choose how the range endpoints are calculated. When candle snapping is disabled, the utility uses the exact time and price selected with the mouse. When candle snapping is enabled, the utility uses the candle corresponding to the selected time. The available candle price options are: - Close - Open - High - Low - HL2: average of High and Low - OHLC4: average of Open, High, Low, and Close The default candle price option is Close. Input Parameters - Snap to Candle: Enables or disables candle-based endpoint selection. - Candle Price: Selects the candle price used by the snapping mode. - Bullish Color: Color used when the ending price is higher than the starting price. - Bearish Color: Color used when the ending price is lower than the starting price. - Neutral Color: Color used when both prices are equal. - Text Color: Color of the range information. - Line Width: Width of the range borders. - Show Price Lines: Shows or hides the horizontal price reference lines.
