Aurum Rally Fader is a gold expert advisor built around one observation: gold trends hard, and the counter-moves inside a trend are where disciplined entries live. It does not predict it classifies the market regime and runs the engine that fits it.

HOW IT WORKS
A 3-state regime router (a daily EMA slope machine with hysteresis) decides what the market is doing: DOWNTREND, UPTREND, or RANGE. Each state runs its own engine:
- Downtrend rally fader: waits for an exhausted counter-rally, enters on a tick-level rollover trigger, exits into the flush. Loss control is patience-based (cut on the bounce after a stall), not a naive fixed stop.
- Uptrend trend hold: a power-law sized long sleeve rides the bull, protected by a catastrophe stop trailed from the peak.
- Range chop grid: a buys-only decay grid with a VWAP take-profit and a hard equity stop, force-flattened the moment the range breaks.
Only one side is ever active. Baskets are anti-martingale: adds get smaller, never bigger.
THE RISK-GUARD STACK
The expert advisor includes layered protection against a specific danger in gold trading the violent counter-rally inside a downtrend:
- Post-spike throttle: after a sharp rally inside a downtrend, all new short baskets trade half size for 30 days
- Basket equity stop with a re-entry cooldown (flagship preset)
- Margin-floor de-leveraging instead of riding into a margin call
- Conviction staging: trade frequency increases only after confirmed winning baskets, and steps down after losses
- Equity circuit breaker: stops opening new baskets deep in drawdown
- Restart-safe: throttle windows, cooldowns and regime state survive VPS reboots

Pick one preset and everything sizing, exposure, every guard is configured internally:
- Safe: conservative sizing, all guards on
- Balanced (default): the middle tier, all guards on
- Hot Classic: aggressive, no killer guards (expert users only)
- Hot Max: the largest sizing tier, for experienced users who accept deep drawdowns
- Short Only: pure short engine, for deployment at a confirmed top
- Hot plus Throttle / Hot plus Full Guard: the aggressive tier with the full guard stack the recommended configurations for live accounts
- Custom: every toggle exposed for manual tuning

What you see on this page is what the tester prints. Results depend on your broker's tick history and leverage. Note the trade-off honestly shown in the guard-ladder screenshot: the hottest presets earn the most in trending years and carry the deepest drawdowns in crashes the Guard presets exist for exactly that.

- Long engine: sizing mode, catastrophe stop, dip-add and cut settings
- Chop grid: divisor, leg decay, spacing, take-profit, hard stop

REQUIREMENTS AND SETUP
- Symbol: XAUUSD (gold). Thresholds auto-scale on other symbols, but gold is the validated market
- Account: hedging type. Leverage 1:500 recommended (the validated configuration; the margin-floor guard is tuned for it)
- Deposit: from 1000 USD; 3000 USD recommended
- Attach to one XAUUSD chart (any timeframe), pick a preset, enable algo trading done
- VPS recommended for 24/5 operation; the EA is restart-safe by design
