Extreme Reversal is an advanced trend reversal indicator designed to detect extreme price breakouts followed by confirmed market reversals.
The algorithm identifies so-called “exhaustion candles” — strong impulsive moves that often appear before a major trend change.
The indicator continuously scans the market for overextended bullish or bearish momentum and waits for confirmation through a reversal breakout of the candle’s range in the opposite direction.

How It Works:
- The indicator searches for candles closing beyond the highs or lows of previous candles.
- Once an extreme candle is detected, its range is stored.
- A signal appears only if price reverses and breaks the candle range in the opposite direction.
- If momentum continues in the original direction, the setup is automatically invalidated.

Settings Description
- Candle Lookback : The number of historical bars used to look for extremes and identify potential market reversal points.
- Confirm Within (Candles) : The maximum number of candles allowed for price to break the reversal candle level and trigger a signal.
- Non-Repainting Mode : When set to true , the signal checks the confirmed closed bar ( rates[i+1] ) to prevent signals from disappearing. When false , calculations run on the current open bar.
- Enable Alerts : Enables popup terminal alerts and mobile PUSH notifications whenever a new signal arrives on the live bar (bar 0).
- Arrow Size (1-5) : Controls the scale and thickness of the Buy/Sell triangle shapes drawn on the chart.
- Arrow Offset (Pixels) : The physical padding in pixels between the candle's High/Low price and the signal shape to avoid visual overlapping.
