Q: How do I set up mobile push notifications?

Mobile alerts require the MetaTrader 5 app installed on your phone (iOS or Android). Here is how to set it up in 3 steps:

Step 1 — Get your MetaQuotes ID Open the MT5 app on your phone, go to Menu → Messages. Your MetaQuotes ID is displayed at the top of the screen (format: android:xxxxxxxxxx or apple:xxxxxxxxxx).

Step 2 — Configure MT5 on your PC In MT5 desktop go to Tools → Options → Notifications, check "Enable Push Notifications" and paste your MetaQuotes ID in the field.

Step 3 — Test it Click the "Test" button — you should receive a test notification on your phone within a few seconds.

Important notes:

  • Your phone does not need to be connected to the same broker account
  • Your phone needs an active internet connection to receive notifications
  • MT5 on your PC must be open and connected when the signal occurs
  • In the indicator settings, make sure "Mobile push notification" is set to true
