Leopard Scalper EA v3.0 - Update Announcement
Greetings to all,
I am pleased to announce the release of the updated version 3.0 of Leopard Scalper EA. Throughout the development of this tool, I have encountered and debunked many trading myths, with some proving true and others false. Based on these insights, I have identified the most effective approach for trading with this EA:
Trading Knowledge: A solid understanding of trading, especially ICT concepts, is essential for optimal use of this EA.
Using TradingView & OrderBlock Indicators: Utilizing TradingView and OrderBlock indicators can be extremely beneficial when analyzing the EA’s trading behavior and making informed decisions.
The Use of Stop Loss (SL): Contrary to popular belief, using a stop loss is counterproductive in this case. Currencies are favorable for trading because, when you risk a small percentage of your balance (0.1% to a maximum of 1%) per trade with a maximum of 1-2 open trades at a time, your account is more likely to withstand longer periods of market fluctuations, especially when the EA's win rate exceeds 95%. Price fluctuations are natural; what goes up must come down, and vice versa. For this reason, a stop loss is unnecessary, and positions will close with gains, leading to a near 100% win rate, albeit with slower growth.
Increased Risk: If you choose to risk more (up to 8% per trade), it is advisable to limit the maximum number of positions to one. This is considered a more aggressive approach, akin to gambling. However, if you prefer this strategy, it is important to not risk more than 0.5% to 1% of your total capital per trade. This approach offers significantly higher chances of recovering any losses.
Stop Loss Placement: Setting the stop loss too close to the price can put your funds at significant risk, as it may target liquidity levels that large institutions seek. By avoiding stop loss, you remain "invisible" to institutional players. When your balance exceeds $10,000, you will begin to see substantial gains, even with a 0.5% risk per trade. Should the price move against your position and hit the maximum positions limit (1-2), the EA will enter recovery mode. You may increase the max position value in the EA settings if you prefer to allow the EA to open additional positions. However, this increases risk, as each extra position raises the overall risk percentage.
Recovery Mechanism: Since the EA operates without a stop loss, it features a built-in recovery mechanism that ensures position growth remains stable and uninterrupted. The threshold at which this feature is activated can be adjusted in the EA’s settings. The earlier this is set, the better, as the EA will spend less time recovering the balance peak. The optimal percentage for this recovery activation is 2%.
Hedging for Drawdown: For those familiar with managing drawdowns and avoiding margin calls, the EA allows hedging to balance the lot sizes of both buy and sell positions, keeping the account balanced. However, this is a high-risk strategy. The feature can be activated in the EA settings, but I do not recommend it for inexperienced traders. This feature works under specific market conditions and is not without its risks, such as potential delays in counter-trades due to market structure analysis.
Risk Management & Lot Size: The EA calculates risk as a percentage of the account balance, converting this into lot sizes dynamically. This dynamic adjustment leads to exponential growth over time as your balance increases. The risk percentage can be seen on the chart in the upper left corner. While fixed lot trading is possible, it limits the full potential of your capital, as the relationship between lot size and balance growth is less efficient.
Example: With a $100,000 balance and a fixed lot size of 0.01, a trade may generate minimal returns (e.g., $5), even though the lot size could have been over 8.00 lots. With 1% risk per trade, the balance grows exponentially week after week.
Example Growth Calculation (3% per day):
Simplicity for Beginners: For beginners, simplicity is key. As your capital grows, you can diversify your portfolio and trade multiple instruments simultaneously. However, remember that the number of trades and lot sizes directly affects the overall risk. A higher number of open positions increases risk. For example, trading with $100 in balance and opening multiple positions with a low lot size (e.g., 0.01) can result in significant risks due to the large proportion of your balance being used per trade.
Setup File for EURUSD Parameters
The setup file for EURUSD parameters is provided below with 2.4% risk per trade. 1% or less is safer. I appreciate your feedback and comments, which will help me improve future versions of the EA.
Please find here attached the setup file for LSEAv3.1 EURUSD. The risk is set to 2.4% per trade. 1% or less is advised.
Hello,
For those of you who experiment no trades, make sure you have these setting in the Mt4 options / Expert Advisors tab, as shown in the attached screenshot.
Thank you.
Changes:
Risk % = 2.4
MA Timeframe = 15
Timeframe OB = 15
SL = 350
TP = 5000 (Don't need one as Trailing Stop acts as dynamic TP).
Trailing trigger = 19
Trailing Stop pips = 7
One more update: I lowered the rental price to $260,- for three months instead of one month. I think it's fare for those who would like to start with a minimum capital of $1000 with a tested result of $1700,~ profit after 3 months. I will eventually augment the rental price to 500 with the upcoming 4.0 version which will have an added ICT concept to increase the trade frequency.
Kind regards and happy trading.
Clement
