Dx Gbpusd

DX GBPUSD is an Expert Advisor for GBPUSD built around the London session. It manages each trade cycle on its own, from entry to exit, and every position carries a catastrophe stop placed on the broker's server from the moment it opens.

An honest backtest

DX GBPUSD contains no hard-coded dates, no hidden calendars and no external files. Every decision is made by the compiled code from live market data. Holidays and daylight-saving changes are calculated by rule. The file that runs in the Strategy Tester is the same file that runs on your account, so you can test any period on any broker. You can also check it yourself: test a window, then test the same window shifted by one week. The results follow the prices, not the calendar.

Risk control

• Risk Levels 1 to 7, sized from your balance. Level 1 is very conservative; Level 7 is the most aggressive setting we allow.
• Alternative sizing: a fixed lot per cycle, or a custom percentage of balance.
• Small-account mode is built in: on small balances the EA automatically uses fewer positions at the broker's minimum lot.
• Equity Stop: stops trading when equity falls by the percentage you choose.
• Daily Loss Limit: pauses new cycles for the rest of the day.
• Max Open Lots and Max Spread filters.
• A catastrophe stop on the broker's server for every position.

Calendar

• Trade on Fridays: on/off.
• Year-end break (December 15 to January 13): on/off.
• Major bank holidays: skip on/off.

On the chart

• A dashboard with live status, results for today, this week, this month and all time, drawdown and protection status.
• Two visual guides, DX Flow and DX Pulse, for your own reading of the chart. The EA does not use them to make trading decisions.

Strategy Tester results

GBPUSD M15, every tick, 10,000 USD deposit, January 2022 to October 2026, commissions included. Drawdown is the relative equity drawdown reported by the tester.

• Risk Level 1: VT Markets +143% / 8.6% drawdown; IC Markets +129% / 8.9% drawdown.
• Risk Level 3: VT Markets +383% / 13.1%; IC Markets +331% / 13.4%.
• Risk Level 5: VT Markets +862% / 19.2%; IC Markets +709% / 19.0%.
• Risk Level 7: VT Markets +1,787% / 23.7%; IC Markets +1,397% / 24.6%.

Past results do not guarantee future results. Higher Risk Levels bring larger drawdowns. Start with a low level and increase it only once you are comfortable with the behaviour.

Requirements

• Symbol and timeframe: GBPUSD, M15. Attach to one chart only.
• Broker server time: New York close (GMT+2 / GMT+3), the most common setup.
• Hedging account, leverage 1:100 or higher.
• The terminal must run 24/5. A VPS is recommended.
• Minimum deposit: 100 USD with small-account mode; 1,000 USD or more is recommended.

Recommended start

Risk Level 3 or 4 on a demo account first, then a live account.

• Sizing Mode: Automatic (Risk Level), Fixed lot per cycle, or Custom % of balance.
• Risk Level: 1 (Very Low) to 7 (Extreme).
• Fixed Lot: total lot per cycle when Sizing Mode is Fixed.
