Aurex Gold Scalper is a fully automated MetaTrader 4 Expert Advisor (EA) developed specifically for trading Gold / XAUUSD.

Rather than continuously entering the market, Aurex Gold Scalper is designed to wait for a combination of trend direction, EMA alignment, momentum, volatility and price pullback confirmation before a trade can be opened.

The strategy combines a 200 EMA major trend filter, 20/50 EMA trend structure, ADX momentum analysis, ATR volatility measurement and a pullback-and-confirmation entry system.

It also includes a comprehensive suite of built-in risk and trade-management controls, including ATR-based Stop Losses, configurable Risk-to-Reward targets, Break Even, ATR Trailing Stop, spread protection, trading-hour filters, daily limits and percentage-based position sizing.

Designed Specifically for XAUUSD

Aurex Gold Scalper has been developed around the characteristics of the Gold market rather than simply applying a generic Forex strategy to XAUUSD.

Gold price distances, ATR volatility and spread are handled using price-based calculations to improve compatibility with different broker quotations.

200 EMA Trend Filter

The 200 EMA provides the EA's primary directional filter.

When enabled:

Price above 200 EMA → BUY setups only

Price below 200 EMA → SELL setups only

This is designed to prevent the EA from continually trading against the broader market direction.

20 / 50 EMA Trend Alignment

The EA can require additional EMA alignment before allowing an entry.

For BUY setups:

20 EMA > 50 EMA > 200 EMA

For SELL setups:

20 EMA < 50 EMA < 200 EMA

This creates a stricter trend requirement before the EA begins searching for an entry.

Pullback Entry System

Aurex Gold Scalper does not simply enter because price is trending.

Instead, it waits for price to pull back towards the fast EMA before looking for continuation.

For example, during a bullish trend the EA waits for price to return towards the 20 EMA and then close back above it before considering a BUY.

The permitted pullback distance is dynamically calculated using ATR.

Candle Confirmation

The EA can require a completed bullish or bearish confirmation candle before entering.

A configurable minimum candle-body ratio helps filter out weak candles and indecision.

ADX Momentum Filter

The Average Directional Index (ADX) is used to measure trend strength.

If ADX is below the configured threshold, the EA can remain out of the market.

Directional +DI and -DI confirmation can also be enabled, providing another layer of directional filtering.

ATR Volatility Filter

Gold can move between quiet and extremely volatile market conditions.

Aurex Gold Scalper uses Average True Range to measure current volatility and can prevent entries when volatility falls below a specified threshold.

An optional maximum ATR filter can also prevent new entries during exceptionally volatile conditions.

Fixed Lot or Percentage Risk

Choose between:

Fixed Lot Mode — trade using a specified lot size.

Risk Percentage Mode — automatically calculate position size according to account balance, Stop Loss distance and selected percentage risk.

A maximum lot-size restriction is also included.

ATR-Based Stop Loss

The default Stop Loss automatically adjusts according to current Gold volatility.

For example:

Stop Loss = ATR × 1.5

When volatility increases, the Stop Loss can expand accordingly. When volatility contracts, the distance can reduce.

A fixed price-distance Stop Loss option is also included.

Risk-to-Reward Take Profit

Take Profit can be calculated as a multiple of the initial Stop Loss.

The default setting is:

1.5R

If the initial risk distance is $5.00 in XAUUSD price, a 1.5R target would therefore be $7.50 away from entry.

The Risk-to-Reward ratio is fully adjustable.

A built-in Break Even system can automatically protect a position once it reaches a specified level of unrealised profit.

The default activation is:

0.75R

A configurable amount can also be locked beyond the original entry price.

This allows traders to control when the EA begins reducing the remaining risk on an open position.

Aurex Gold Scalper includes a volatility-adjusted trailing system.

Rather than trailing price by an arbitrary fixed number of points, the trailing distance can be calculated using current ATR.

This allows the management system to respond to changing Gold volatility.

XAUUSD spreads can widen considerably during rollover, low liquidity and major market events.

Aurex Gold Scalper includes a configurable maximum-spread filter.

If the current spread exceeds the permitted level, the EA will prevent a new position from being opened.

Users can specify exactly when the EA is permitted to look for new positions.

The default trading window is:

07:00 – 20:00 broker/server time

Trading hours are fully configurable and can also be disabled for unrestricted operation.

A configurable maximum number of entries per day helps prevent excessive trading.

Default: 3 trades per day

A cooldown period can also require a minimum number of candles between entries.

Aurex Gold Scalper includes additional daily protection controls.

Maximum Daily Loss

The EA can stop initiating new trades after its configured daily loss threshold has been reached.

Default: 3%

Daily Profit Target

An optional daily profit threshold can also stop further entries once the configured target has been reached.

This feature is optional and disabled by default.

By default, Aurex Gold Scalper permits only one active EA position at a time on the symbol.

This prevents the strategy from creating uncontrolled clusters of positions.

Aurex Gold Scalper does not depend on increasing exposure after losing trades.

The strategy does not use:

Martingale lot multiplication

Automatic lot doubling after losses

Grid recovery

Averaging into losing positions

Each qualifying setup is treated as an independent trade.

Controls the short-term EMA used by the pullback strategy.

Slow EMA Period

Controls the medium-term trend EMA.

Default: 50

Trend EMA Period

Controls the major trend-direction filter.

Minimum ADX

Determines the minimum trend-strength reading required for an entry.

Default: 20

Pullback ATR Distance

Controls how close price must move towards the fast EMA to qualify as a pullback.

Default: 0.25 ATR

Minimum Candle Body Ratio

Filters weak confirmation candles.

Default: 0.30

ATR Period

Controls the Average True Range calculation.

Default: 14

Stop ATR Multiplier

Determines the default Stop Loss distance.

Default: 1.5 ATR

Risk-to-Reward Ratio

Controls the Take Profit relative to initial risk.

Default: 1.5R

Break Even Activation

Determines when Break Even management begins.

Default: 0.75R

Trailing Stop Activation

Determines when ATR trailing begins.

Maximum Trades Per Day

Limits the number of new positions the EA can initiate each trading day.

Aurex Gold Scalper has been designed around an initial XAUUSD M15 configuration.

The supplied default settings provide a starting point for testing, but results can vary significantly depending on broker pricing, spread, execution, market conditions, timeframe and historical data.

Users should backtest and forward-test the EA with their own broker before considering live deployment.
