So I have ran a 99% modelling backtest on this EA from 2013-Jan on EURUSD H1 default settings with 0.01 fixed lot.  On 2014-05-19 the EA took a Buy position and did not close it until 2016-10-06 for a huge loss!!  Unbelievable I must say!  Why was this EA not backtested and released like this?  I have attached all the relevant screens of the backtest and highlighted most important events.  I have used latest TDS 2.0 for backtesting.

I figured out why there was such a situation. EA was unable to set the initial stop loss. In real trade is given 10 attempts to set the initial stop loss. If the stop-loss could not be determined, then the position is closed as is. For the first time I encountered such a situation in a test mode. I will make changes. In real trade such a situation should not be. Thanks for comment.

Thank you for acknowledging and being honest.  Please release a fix for this ASAP and I will retest it.  If this indeed is the issue -- it is highly recommended to wait for the fix and not use this EA live.  It can happen live if the error happened during the backtest.  Murphy's law should always be respected ;)

The EA cannot be profitable on effective spread > 0.90 pips.  This has been confirmed in the backtest.  For example if you have ECN spread of 0.30 pips and commission of 0.80 pips round turn then the effective spread will be 1.10 pips so the EA will not be profitable.  Developer is working to improve this barrier.

Not only that but the EA is not able to beat the ECN commission and make any profit in live trading.  Good concept but it will need to be improved to account for all the executions costs and increase the Expected Payoff to at least 0.50 on 0,01 lot.  Please provide update so that we can backtest with 99% modelling + live account monitor (even with cents account).

Hello. The new version is already on the check from a moderator. It will be available during this week. Fixed little bugs and changed input settings. The new settings show a more stable results, include accounts with spread more than 1 pips. Regards.

Could you please specify if it is GMT time, broker time, or other kind of time ?

I look forward for the new version.

      In current version start hour must be always less than end hour. Default time is set to GMT +3 (test server time). Time is focused on the server time. The new version includes the ability to set cross days time range. For example 23:00-17:00, 15:00-5:00. Default time is GMT 0. Add on the difference in the time of your server. If default time 23-17 and your server GMT +3 than time range - 2-20.

      OK, so as a recap, am I right if I say that in set this file with the values start=2 and end=20, considering it's a GMT+3 broker, the tarde will start at 23:00GMT and stop at 17:59 GMT ?

      If you have server time GMT 0 and don`t change default preset, that trade begins from 2:00 to 20:59. The time 2-20 (GMT +3) here because EA optimized on this time range. And because there is no possibility to set default time 23-17 (GMT 0) in version 1.0 yet. Anyway, the EA work depending on your server's time. To temporarily range coincides with the default (in the new version), you just need to add the GMT difference to the default time. In current version start hour must be always less than end hour. I hope to help you find out.

      Да, только заметил. Описание и скрины обновлены, а вот версия стоит 1.0. Может быть глюк какой. Уточню у модераторов. В любом случае на сайте должна быть доступна последняя версия.

      Информация в терминале обновляется раз в 24 часа. Должно в ближайшее время отображаться корректно.
