How to Sync Broker Time for 100% Pixel-Perfect Backtesting

To unleash the full potential of the Dual-Engine geometry in your backtests, follow this simple mathematical calibration:

⚙️ STEP 1: Set Broker_Winter_GMT This is your broker's BASE server time offset during the Winter months (Standard Time).

• Most ECN Brokers: (e.g., IC Markets, Exness, FTMO, Tickmill, Pepperstone) are based on Eastern European Time. 👉 Set to: 2 (which means GMT+2).
• UK Brokers: (e.g., IG, CMC Markets base UK time). 👉 Set to: 0 (which means GMT+0).

🔄 STEP 2: Select Broker_DST_Mode This tells our mathematical engine how your broker calculates Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time shifts).

• 🇺🇸 DST_US (US Rules): Use this for 95% of standard forex brokers (including IC Markets & Prop Firms). They align their server time with the New York close (5 PM EST), shifting times in March and November.
• 🇪🇺 DST_EU (European Rules): Use this only if your broker explicitly follows strictly European shift dates (last Sunday of March to last Sunday of October).
• 🚫 DST_NONE (Fixed Time): Use this for Crypto-only brokers or servers that operate on a fixed GMT year-round with absolute zero summer shifts.
