Welcome to the official Shikaa XAU Breakout Pro discussion thread. To ensure the best performance on Gold (XAU/USD), please follow this guide for the input settings.
⚙️ Input Parameters Explained
Lots (Fixed): The lot size used only if RiskPercent is set to 0. Recommended: 0.01 per $500 for conservative trading.
RiskPercent (Auto-Lot): The percentage of your balance you want to risk per trade.
Example: Setting this to 1.0 on a $1,000 account means the EA calculates the lot size so you only lose $10 if the Stop Loss is hit.
StopLoss (Points): Your risk limit. For Gold D1, a common setting is 800 to 1200 points.
TakeProfit (Points): Your target. For Gold D1, a common setting is 400 to 1000 points.
UseTP_SL: Set to true to enable hard targets on the server (highly recommended).
MagicNumber: Use a unique number for this EA so it doesn't interfere with other robots.
🚀 Best Performance Setup
Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold).
Timeframe: Attach the EA to the D1 (Daily) or H12 chart.
Broker Type: Raw Spread or ECN accounts are best for Gold breakouts to minimize slippage.
VPS: While the EA only checks levels at the candle close, using a VPS ensures 24/7 monitoring of the breakout points.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why did the EA not open a trade today? A: The EA only opens a trade if the price breaks the High or Low of the previous candle. If the price stays inside that range (Inside Bar), no trade is taken. It also checks for sufficient margin before entry.
Q: Can I use this on EURUSD? A: Yes, the code is universal, but the default TP/SL settings are optimized for Gold's volatility. For EURUSD, you may need to reduce the Point values.
Q: Does it work on Cent accounts? A: Absolutely. Our built-in Margin Guard and Lot Normalization automatically detect cent-lot requirements.
