Direction control is now live in both Aurora Sentinel Pro (v6.4)and the Hybrid Edition (v10.4).
Two colour-coded buttons sit at the bottom of the dashboard:
LONG ON / OFF SHORT ON / OFF
One click decides which direction the engine may open new tradesin. The state is written in plain text on the button, so there isno guessing.
Why I built it
The AutoTrading button in MetaTrader works globally - press it andevery EA on every chart stops. In the Hybrid Edition it is worsestill: switching AutoTrading off also disables the manual TradeManager panel, so you cannot even trade by hand any more.
These buttons pause this one EA, on this one chart. In the HybridEdition the manual panel stays fully usable while the automationrests.
The second reason is simpler. Traders form their own view of themarket. If you see a clear higher-timeframe downtrend, you can nowswitch LONG off and let the engine work in your direction only,instead of shutting it down completely.
What exactly is blocked
Only new entries in the disabled direction. Positions that arealready open keep being managed exactly as before - stop-loss,break-even, take-profit and position building all stay active. Asingle click will never choke off a running trade.
Your setting survives a timeframe change or a terminal restart. Adirection you deliberately switched off stays off until you turn itback on. For backtesting, the same control is available as twoinputs: AllowLongTrades and AllowShortTrades.
One thing said plainly: this is not an automatic market filter thatdoes the analysis for you. It is a manual switch. The judgementstays yours - the tool simply carries it out consistently.

What building a trading bot actually taught us
We spent years developing automated trading systems for forex and gold. The most important lesson wasn't a smarter algorithm — it was an uncomfortable truth:
Over long timeframes, there is no permanent, always-on edge in forex or gold.
Markets shift between regimes. What was an edge yesterday is just noise tomorrow.
That's the flaw in most bots being sold today: they are snapshots. Optimized on a past slice of the market where the equity curve looked beautiful. They don't understand the market — they've simply memorized one window of it. When the regime changes, they break.
Our conclusion: no bot that claims to hold an edge at all times. Instead, a system that acts only when an edge is actually there — in clear trends and strong market phases. Everything else, we hand back to the human.
We call it human-trading: the automation takes the strong trend phases, where a mechanical edge is measurable. In unclear or sideways markets, the system hands control back to the trader — through a manual click-to-trade panel right on the chart.
We tested this on real market data: gold (XAUUSD, H1) over 21 years, from 2005 to 2026 — honestly labelled as a backtest / modelling test, not a live promise.
No bot understands the market. But a good system knows when to stay silent.

Aurora Auto Fibonacci — Fibonacci levels that draw themselves
Fibonacci retracements are one of the most widely used tools in technical analysis — but drawing them by hand, over and over, on every new swing, gets tedious fast. Aurora Auto Fibonacci does it for you.
The indicator automatically detects the most recent relevant swing high and swing low on your chart and spans the Fibonacci retracement levels between them. When a new swing forms, the levels redraw on their own. Every level is labelled with its ratio and price, so you can read the picture at a glance.
The Golden Pocket, front and centre
The closely watched zone between 0.618 and 0.65 — where many trend pullbacks find support or resistance — is highlighted as a filled area, so it stands out immediately.
Bollinger Bands, if you want them
You can layer optional Bollinger Bands on top for a quick read on bias and volatility. If the chart gets too busy, switch them off with a single setting — the Fibonacci display stays exactly as it is.
Clean, calm, and out of your way
