A 140-day channel on the daily chart tells it whether gold is trending or ranging: in trend mode it follows breakouts with an hourly-tightening stop, in range mode it works a small ladder of limit orders. Every trade has a stop loss, size scales with the account, equity protection at -25% / -30%. No martingale, no grid averaging.
