SMA for EA not working propperly

Hi I have been trying to code a SMA into my EA. I need to do this because I want to see the buy and sell signals in relation to the SMA know that it is working the way I want it to. What is happening at the moment is a straight line is being drawn from some anchor point and travels right from left

Bad data or bad code?

Hi, I am trying to debug a very simple program in mql5. In the journal tab I get the message that the start time has changed to ........., which is about three days after when the data actually starts from. I have outputted alot of the variables to the journal tab so that I can see what is what

Debugging EA's

Hi, I am new to mql5, but I did a few programs in c++ many years ago. I am curious, when back testing an EA, is there the facility to pause, or step through segments of code, so that the state of variables can be checked , and if things aren't the way I had hoped, exit the back test so that I am not
