DailyTrader is not really an aggressive "scalping" EA. Its strategy relies on the breakout of daily support and resistance levels. A position can be hold ~2 hours on average, with a few trades per day and the stop-loss is generally of tens of pips (hundreds of points on a 5-digits symbol...

Despite its (bad) "human supervisor" and non-optimal broker's conditions, the DailyTrader robot has recovered the "accidental" drawdown occurred at the end of December. I'm rather satisfied by "my creature" :-)

>>> WARNING to DailyTrader_TEST users <<<

Please, make sure that the TrailingStop_Distance considered in your backtest is much larger than the typical height of the M1 bars.
This is because in the Open_Prices_Only mode the intrabar details of the price behavior are unknown to the tester (which only knows the OHLC values). Therefore, if the distance of the Take-Profit price from the Stop-Loss price isn't larger than the typical height of the M1 bars the results are unreliable.
In that case, the tester cannot simulate correctly which of the two levels is touched first!

The latest 2.0 version of the DailyTrader has been published.
Who bought the previous version can download it for free.

Among various improvements (a more dynamic Trailing-Stop), this update is important because it allows the trader to set a maximum admitted spread. When this limit is exceeded by the spread pending orders are cancelled and no new order is placed for the next 10 minutes.

Soon, I'm going to publish another update in which "trading traffic" is reduced by placing pending orders only when the market price gets close to the resistance/support levels.

Stay tuned!

Dear DailyTrader users,

I've been trying to publish the new 2.0 version of the EA, but unfortunately the MQL5 moderators' staff seems to be still in vacation (I think until Jan, 7th), so the submission procedure is de-facto blocked.

Among various improvements, this update is important because it allows the trader to set a maximum admitted spread. When this limit is exceeded by the spread no new order is placed and pending orders are cancelled. To avoid activation-deactivation "oscillations", the trading suspension holds for ten minutes before checking again the spread level (thanks to Bruce's suggestion).

This is very important because many brokers are used to expand pretty much the spread during high volatility situations and this can occur just when the price is about to break resistance/support levels, with the bad consequences one could imagine...

Please, do the update as soon as the new version is available!

Backtesting DailyTrader on GBPUSD with a "light" Martingale configuration.

Single_Trade_Risk = 2%
Martingale_Factor = 2
Martingale_MAX_RISK = 5%

That means that the normal "base" risk in a single trade is 2% and that this risk is doubled at each trade executed during a drawdown (DD) phase. Nevertheless, the risk per trade will always be limited to 5%.

Honest Predictor indicator (https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/8700) predicts trend direction at a given "expiry time" making it particularly suitable for traders operating with Binary Options. Its main features are:

"Honest" statistical information provided about the level of reliability of the trend predictions.

No redrawing, no recalculation performed. The indicator is stable and calculated only on closed bars (not on ticks).

Positions outcome evaluated on actual closing prices.

The indicator is optimized for H1 timeframe giving best results with an expiry time from 1 to 3 bars (that is, from 1 to 3 hours).

SimplyScalper (https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/13032) backtest performed with a non-aggressive settings: the minimum profit for trailing-stop is 5 pips and the initial stop-loss is 10 pips. This means that the EA results are less sensitive to the broker "single tick behavior".

The test was done with real ticks, but results are comparably good with "simulated" ticks (modelling quality 90%) or even under "Control Points" mode, confirming the "non-aggressive" EA behavior.

SimplyScalper (https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/13032) is a fully automatic (semi-)scalping robot working with ticks and acting during high volatility market conditions (mostly during news release). Technical indicators are also used to improve accuracy on market entries.

Its non-aggressive strategy allows to tolerate relatively high floating spreads (up to 2-3 pips).

WARNING: so far, this EA has been tested only on the Strategy Tester with real ticks and on a demo account (with floating spread). For this reason it can be downloaded for FREE, until its effectiveness is verified on real accounts (with slippage/requotes/execution delay, etc.). This is intended to encourage traders to test it in real conditions and to report their results.

The aim of the Trading Analyser indicator (https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/13069) is to provide statistical information about the user trading activity as recorded in the MetaTrader Account History.

The trading history can be selected according to various meaningful criteria: order type (long and/or short), orders having a given magic number, those executed in a given time interval, on a particular weekday, on a given symbol, etc.

The selection can also involve the order comment field (e.g., to help the trader to analyze orders closed under particular conditions).

Moreover, commissions and/or swaps can be optionally included in the calculation, so as to allow to quantify the importance they have in determining losses.

Spread Analyser (https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/12738) is a simple but useful indicator which shows and analyses your broker floating-spread history.

Although many brokers claim to have a low spread, they often refer to the time-averaged value, without giving any indications on the maximum value reached during the day. Quite often, the instantaneous spread shows "peaks" that are several times higher than this average. If these peaks take place during high volatility conditions (as happens frequently) then they can dramatically affect your trading strategy.

On the other hand, since spread is the main way brokers protect and achieve their profits, it is likely that the spread behavior could anticipate strong price movements/volatility, or at least provide good entering/exiting market indications.

These are the motivations behind the development of this indicator.
