Hello, I'm new to trying Expert Advisers for ES futures. I've previously used them for Forex with mixed results. Do you suggest trying to purchase one, or to try writing my own first? What are your experiences

Two different EA's on same type of chart

I am running two different EA's that both work on the same Fx pair and the same time frame (gbp-usd M5). When one of the EA's is actiavted... the SL and TP show up on both chart windows. It says which EA placed the trade, but how can I be sure this is accurate? And how do I know that the SL and TP

Downloading/purchasing historical data

Hello, So it seems that what's pre-programmed into MT4 only goes back several months if using M5 charts. Is there a way to download/purchase this data going back decades

Why is the Strategy Tester not working?

I thought I downloaded the entire history of the EURUSD from History Center. The months go back to 1971, but the minutes will only go back until August of this year. When I try to run a test of the past 5 years, it only goes back 10 days and executes 2 total trades

Using EA's with non-ECN brokers?

Since I'm in the USA, I can't find a broker that uses ECN (Electronics Communications Network). Will this cause a problem when trying to find profitable EA's

Will I have trouble finding EA's with a minimum Stops Level?

I am not asking for broker recommendations. But all the brokers I've found so far in the USA have minimum Stops Levels . Will this be a huge problem for me finding functioning EA's

How to tell if my EA's are working?

I purchased some EA's for MT4. They worked fine on backtester in my demo account. Couldn't get them working for backtest in live account. I've had them running in the live account for several days now with no executed trades , and no attempted trades (no error messages)

What are "normal" bid/ask spread for EUR/USD?

In terms of low bid/ask spreads? Should I assume that it depends on the currency (actually, currencies) that are in question? So when markets are open in New York, then the USD pairs will have low spreads? And the same for open markets in UK/EU will cause GBP,EUR,CHF,etc. to have low spreads? And
