FX SUMO Diversified Portfolio

I have tested lots of signals and believe this to be the best allrounder signal there is on MQL5, if you don't want to have any hassle and are looking for a very balanced truly set and forget signal. The only downside is that you should have a balance as close as possible to the signal balance, I believe copying this with 3k accounts would be a mistake.

Ich abonniere das Signal bereits seit 3 Montanen. Die Performance ist so wie ich diese anhand der Beschreibung und anderen kommentaren erwartet habe gut und stabil. Es handel sich um ein Signal mit sehr vielen EA's, die verschiedenen Strategien handeln. In der Telegramm-Gruppe gibt es regelmäßig einen Report über die Performance der EA's und des Portfolios. Das Signal ist nicht zuletzt wegen der moderaten monatlichen Gewinnen (gehört zu der gewünschten Strategie) für langfristigorientierte Anelger geeignet. Durch die große Deversifikation wird der Risk eines totalen Ausfalls stark minimiert. Ich bleibe mit einem Teil meines Geldes dabei.

2022 09 18 review after 15 months of using the signal

On the top on my previous review 2022 02 03 (read it below), in the last months there were two type of events on the signal because of which I even more like this signal:

1. Few times some of the individual strategies positions were closed manually by signal owners as they were identified that they could endanger whole signal. In the big picture those closed positions were small part of the signal, but closing them, added even more on a security of the signal.

2. Some of the EAs, part of the signal and working on a breakout strategy, were generating similar losses to gains for few weeks... My emotional reaction (also some other subscribers), was that they are not working on current market…. Signal owners added in their signal report statistics of the EAs working on a breakout strategies, showing in details that their behaviour was not different than it was expected and kept them in the signal. Their response was analytical and with that approach is easier for them to identify good/bad performing EAs and which of them to be included (or to be removed) in the signal. I assume that if they would find out that some EAs are not performing as expected those EAs would be removed from the signal.

Summary: During my subscription signal is taking care of the risk (capital preservation) and providing growth. I will repeat what I stated in my previous review: “Having in mind the average growth per month and approach to address the risk, safety of the signal in my opinion this signal is one of the best signals on MQL5.”

2022 02 03 rewiev after 8 months of using the signal

Im copying the signal to Demo account and then via FxBlue to my Real account.

What I really like is how this signal is addressing the risk:

- As Diversified by 60+ EAs running under the signal and consequently open positions are small -> individual positions are less dangerous to overall signal.

- If position goes to the wrong direction signal is not afraid to trigger SL and closed it.

Having in mind the average growth per month and above approach to address the risk, safety of the signal in my opinion this signal is one of the best signals on MQL5.

Update 22 October 2022: Can only re-iterate what I already wrote below. Have been subscribed now over 4 months and the way this signal handles risk/reward is outstanding.

I am in no way connected to the signal owner but can highly recommend this signal for investor-type subscribers. This signal will be not be volatile enough for gambler-type subscribers.

One more thing - the apparent 'low signal stability' is not something I can relate to. On my account all signals are copied 100% accurately with little or no slippage. Just checked today to see that also the backlog of open trades matches 100%.

09 September 2022: I have been subscribing to this signal for around 12 weeks now, enough time for a real review. After having spent a lot of time trawling through signals on MQL5 - and before that EAs - I have discarded many due to their inherent risk, so I was happy when I came across Sumo. I have been VERY pleased with the overall risk in this signal, due to the low risk per trade and high volume of trades, I dare say this is one of the least risky signals I have seen here.

As for the reward side, I have been subscribing in a period that has been described as a hard period for the signal. I am very pleased to see that the signal has been profitable and very safe during what is perceived to be a difficult time. My own experience is however, that my reception of the signal has been substantially more profitable than the original signal itself. This is because I have had it linked to only a EUR 5,000 account so all trades not being 0.01 lot size have been reduced in size. Consequently, I have seen smaller lots and higher profit %. In my 12 weeks I have made 23%, which is more than anticipated and this at what I perceive to be very low risk.

The future: I am seriously considering abandoning my other subscriptions and focusing only on this signal. The other signals have also been profitable, but the risk has been higher. Some are basically just waiting for a disaster to happen. Sumo on the other hand has long term potential because of how risk is handled. The diversification inherent in the large amount of trades and small amount of risk per trade is the true long term perspective. I can easily live with months around 0% as long as I can see the long term profitability of >30% pa. and as long as the risk is kept low.

I should mention that the coaching/info provided by signalowner is very good. My main concern is that this signal one day shuts down so I will need to again rely on other, potentially much more risky signals.

This signal gets my highest recommendation among those 8 signals I have so far subscribed to.

I continue to update my review of this signal because I have a love/hate relationship with it. On the one hand, I love it (well, I tolerate it ...) because it delivers results and that is true from the track record. On the other hand, I hate it, because it runs a very large number of transactions in order to do that, a lot of the transactions will stop loss. I keep statistics and in one month, across the portfolio of my 25 signals/advisers, this one contributes 3.5% to my profits (just less than average), but it runs 19.67% of trades (5x more than average). On the one hand, you can say that is good risk/diversification, on the other hand you can say that is more of a crapshoot of mixed quality algorithms rather than a focus on specific high quality ones. But I am still subscribed to the signal, so that is something, and I probably will continue to be, because it adds something! Now as I type this, the gain for the month has gone back from 3something percent to 1something percent ... now back to 0something percent ... (and now 12 hours later, it is up to 7something ...). Honestly, the volatility. Just beware that if you subscribe to this signal, you need at least a month or two to become profitable, and in the first month you might have a loss of up to 5%.

I'm still subscribed 10/02/2023 ... 215 days, 52.65% gain total. Good results, but still some frustrating times it stop losses or does weird things (today, an aborted USDJPY sell, then an aborted USJPY buy, then another aborted USDJPY buy, all pretty much back to back). Raising my rating to 5 stars!

2022.07.21 Today you have too many SL's, which is really bad. You have a bad breakout strategy, which ruins your signal. I recommend you remove this one.

2022.07.07 I've never seen a report as detailed as SUMO team provided. It disclosed a lot about this signal. I believe it will bring me stable profit and low DD. I don't need 100% profit per month. At this moment I use Demo account for copying signals. After a short while like one week or so, I will forward signals from my Demo account to real account.

I have been subscribing to this signal for over 6 months. This week i reached a nice milestone 100% in profit. This signal is better then i expected. Risk level for the profit is good. I see this signal as a good instrument for diversification, especially, if there are investments in other asset classes.

The author openly communicates with subscribers about what is happening in the signal and he regularly update about the performance of the signal.

I'll continue to subscribing to this siganl to reach even new highs.

The author is very friendly & professional. I didn't manage to set the signal right as trading conditions with my broker differ from those of this signal. Trades were copied correctly but with different amount, as my broker didn't allow me to have the same leverage as this signal providers. Sandis, thank you for helping to understand it on time to receive re-fund of subscription fee.
