[ADMIN/USER GUIDE] Averaging Scalper v2.0 — Setup & Operations

Welcome to the community! To ensure you get the best results from the Averaging Scalper v2.0, please follow this structured setup guide.

1. Installation & First Run

  1. Attach to Chart: Drag the EA onto a EURUSD chart (M5 or M15 timeframe recommended).

  2. Common Tab: Ensure "Allow Algo Trading" is checked in the EA settings and the global "Algo Trading" button at the top of MT5 is Green.

  3. Inputs: For your first run, the Default Settings are optimized for a $10,000 balance (or $100 on a Cent/Micro account).

2. Understanding the Logic

The EA uses a 3-layer Moving Average filter. It will only open a trade when momentum is clearly defined. If the market is flat, the EA will remain idle—this is normal and prevents "fake-out" losses.

3. Risk Management Guide

  • Averaging Type: * Martingale: Faster recovery, higher risk.

    • Fixed Lot: Linear growth, much safer for small accounts.

    • Anti-Martingale: Reduces risk as the grid gets deeper (Defensive mode).

  • Equity Protection: I recommend setting the Max Drawdown % to 20% or 25% to act as a "circuit breaker" for your account.

4. Optimized Environment

  • VPS: This EA must run 24/5. Any downtime during an open grid can cause calculation errors.

  • Execution: Use an ECN broker with raw spreads. High spreads will delay the "Basket Close" and reduce overall profitability.
