Great tool with the following notes:

  1. someone already mentioned the upper limit (0.08 default) doesn't work.
  2. The default MG set at 2.0 is crazy. The line of the backtesting may look straight as an arrow, but on a backtest (2003-05-05 to 2023-10-13) using Tick Data Suite and Dukascopy EURUSD dataset, on M1 timeframe, it has a 4977.70 consecutive losses. It started doubling at 0.01 and 'finally' made the winning trade on 10,24. So if you run this on a 3000 account, and on your FIRST day/week/month you bump into this, your account is wiped. Also, you can have a 8k account, and bumped into two of these back-to-back and you will be wiped. There are no guarantees that a -4k consecutive losses won't hurt you
  3. NEVER backtest for a month or two, it is toooooo little of a sample
  4. I backtested this on many pairs, timeframes, and matringale settings, and here is my suggestion/analysis


For Martingale 1.1 all trades open at 0.01 lots. The good parts: extremely low DD, extremely low "consecutive losses". Small profit though, $120 per year. But on a 1k account, you make 12%. You can jump this to 0.3 lots if you want.

When jumping from 0.01 starting lots to 0.05, then the martingale kicks in (and thus the DD and the cost of consecutive losses).

Overall it is a good EA. It has a few bugs (1) max Lot doesn't work, (2) on a starting Lot of 0.05 I saw some trades of 0.01
