NQX Crux Alpha runs 3 independent intraday and swing strategies on gold together with US/European stock indices (US30, US500), all from a single MetaTrader 5 chart. Its results were spread over time: 18 of 33 months were positive, the best month was +40.4% and the worst -7.6%. It is one of the more active NQX portfolios, with about 7.2 trades per month in the 33-month test. Its maximum drawdown in the test was 13.4%, a moderate level at 1% risk per strategy; the longest stretch below a previous high lasted 4 months.

Strategies in this portfolio
- Sparta: US30 (Dow Jones index), H4, swing, holds from hours to a few days

- Argus: XAUUSD (gold in US dollars), H1, swing, holds from hours to a few days
What makes it different
- Exclusive combination: no other NQX product has this same set of strategies, and within the NQX Stellar line any two products share at most two strategies.
- NQX Crux Alpha combines 3 strategies that were each approved on their own in our testing pipeline: a selection period, a separate confirmation period it never saw, and a 2020–2023 test.
- It was selected among more than 16,000 tested combinations for its balance between profit and drawdown, with a conservative risk of 1% per strategy.
- Combines gold with stock indices (US30, US500): markets that are often driven by different news and sessions.
- Mixes intraday and swing strategies, so entries are spread across the day and the week.
How to use
- Attach it to ONE chart only: XAUUSD H1. The robot reads each strategy's own symbol and timeframe by itself and does not open other charts. Trades appear in the Trade tab.
- The robot finds the other symbols of the portfolio in the Market Watch by itself and adds any that are missing. You do not open other charts.
- Do not attach it to other charts, symbols or timeframes: each copy opens the same trades again and the account risk doubles.
- Built-in protection: if it is attached to a second chart by mistake, the extra copy pauses itself and shows a message on the chart, so the risk never doubles.
- Every trade has a stop loss. No grid, no martingale, one position per strategy at a time.
- If your broker does not offer one of the symbols, that strategy stays off and the others keep working. Symbol names with suffixes are found automatically.
Risk setting
- Risk per strategy (default 1% of the balance): the most one trade can lose if it hits its stop loss. The lot is calculated automatically from the balance and the stop distance, so lots differ between strategies even with the same risk.
- When several strategies are in a trade at the same time, the total open risk can reach 3 x 1% = 3% of the balance. Lower the risk per strategy if this is too much for you.
Recommended
- A broker with low spreads that offers US30, US500, XAUUSD.
- Try it first in the Strategy Tester (XAUUSD, H1, every tick based on real ticks).
Trading involves risk. Past performance, including test results, does not guarantee future results.
