Vtrade Challenge Lock MT5

Vtrade Challenge Lock watches the whole account and acts before the prop firm's loss limit is reached: it closes all positions, deletes pending orders and locks trading. The limits are counted the way the firms count them: floating profit and loss included, from the firm's own daily reset time.

One copy on one chart covers the whole account: every symbol, every Expert Advisor and every manual trade.

Daily loss lock

At your safety level (default 80% of the firm's daily limit) it closes all positions, deletes pending orders and keeps the account flat until the next daily reset (Prague midnight, UTC, server midnight or 17:00 New York; daylight saving time handled automatically).

Maximum loss lock

Static, trailing equity, trailing balance, or trailing until it reaches the account size. The lock stays until you reset it.

Other EAs during a lock

The other Expert Advisors are taken off their charts (template and inputs saved first), so they cannot open new trades during the lock. After a daily lock they are put back on the same charts with the same inputs at the new trading day. An EA attached during a lock is removed too. Trades opened during a lock are closed at once.

Firm presets

FTMO 2-Step, FTMO 1-Step, FundedNext Stellar 2-Step, The5ers High Stakes, or Custom rules (daily %, measured from balance, equity or the higher of the two, reset time, maximum loss type, target, minimum trading days, consistency %). Choose Phase 1, Phase 2 or Funded and the target and news rule follow. The presets follow the firms' published rule pages as checked in October 2026. Firms change their rules, so check the values against your own plan and use Custom if they differ.

News rule

High-impact USD releases from the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar. Funded preset: flat before the release and no new trades until the window ends (FTMO and The5ers ±2 minutes, FundedNext ±5 minutes). Or your own window: block new trades, or close all.

Discipline rules (any account)

For manual trades only (PC, mobile, web) or for all trades. All off by default.

  • Pause after a losing trade: trades opened within X minutes after a loss are closed.
  • Losing trades in a row: after N losses in a row today, no new trades until the daily reset.
  • Lot after a loss: a new trade on that symbol larger than X times the losing lot is closed, until a winning trade.
  • Maximum risk per trade: a trade whose stop loss would lose more than X% of the balance is closed or alerted.
  • Maximum new trades per day, positions without a stop loss (alert or close), Friday close hour.

The state is rebuilt from the account history, so a restart does not clear it. Trades closed by the tool itself do not count as losses.

Profit target lock (optional)

Closes all and locks once the target is reached.

Dashboard

Status, today's profit or loss and the time to the reset, daily and maximum room left with bars, target progress, trading days against the minimum, consistency (best day against total profit), discipline state, open risk to stop loss, next high-impact USD release, broker time.

Alerts

Popup, push notification to the MetaTrader 5 mobile app, and e-mail: early warning (default 60% of the daily limit used), every lock, every removed or restored EA, position without a stop loss, target reached.

Inputs

  • Prop firm: preset, stage, account size (0 = balance when first attached), act at % of the firm's limits, warn at % of the daily limit.
  • Actions: lock on daily / maximum / target, remove other EAs during a lock, maximum trades per day, position without stop loss (off / alert / close) and delay, Friday close hour.
  • Discipline: applies to manual trades or all trades, pause minutes, losses in a row, lot after a loss, maximum risk per trade and its action.
  • News: rule (firm / off / block / close), releases, minutes before and after.
  • Custom rules: used when the preset is Custom.
  • Notifications: popup, push, e-mail.
  • Broker time and display: broker GMT offset (automatic or manual), show the dashboard, reset stored values.

Notes

  • The tool never opens or modifies a trade. It only closes positions, deletes pending orders and removes or restores EAs.
  • Keep Algo Trading enabled: without it the terminal does not allow any program to close trades. The dashboard shows a warning when it is off.
  • A price gap (news spike, weekend open) can move equity past any level before a close is possible. Keep the safety level below 100% and use stop losses.
  • The news rule covers USD releases only. Some firms also restrict EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD or CHF releases.
  • Run one copy per account, on a terminal that stays on (a VPS is suitable). A second copy on the same account does not start.
  • Day start values, peaks, locks and the list of removed EAs are stored in the terminal, so a restart keeps them.
  • No DLL. No external connections.
