Hi, quick question. What does DC indicate?
Hi, quick question. What does DC indicate?
Hi Riss,
DC stands for Directional Conviction. It indicates the strength of the current directional pressure in the market. In essense it shows how dominant buyers or sellers are. A high DC is bullish and a low reading is bearish. This means the trend has strong commitment in one direction, while a value near 50% indicates indecision or a balanced market. The DC UI colors reflect this strength: green signals strong conviction, yellow indicates moderate commitment, and red shows weak or indecisive market conditions. It’s used alongside ADX and RSI to help classify market regimes and assess the reliability of trends.
Please let me know if you have any more questions or would like more information on how the indicator uses DC :-)
