bought ea and downloaded set file zip. Can you give descriptions of each set file please. When do you advise to use each set file etc.

you basically have some low to high risk sets.  And then you have a set file for running the EA together with other EA's (combo set). 

And then you have a set for prop firms, and also 1 for prop firms when running it together with other EA's (prop combo)

the combo sets basically reduce the risk

I would start with a low risk

Just confirming that I have the right symbols put in settings...

US30 == WS30, right?
DE40 == DAX40, right?
USTEC == NDX100, right?

it depends on your broker.  check the marketwatch

but looks like a possibility for names yes

Thanks for the EA just purchased and looking to get stuck in I use this strategy alot, so keen to see how it works with within an EA from a developer with your pedigree.

the EA will automatically run at the correct hours when you use "optimized" time source in the parameters when running live

but for backtesting, you need to set the starthour  and stophour correctly for your broker.  the start hour should be 1 hour before the market of that symbol opens.  the stop hour 1.5h later

Hi Wim. I also have a few questions:

1. You wrote that the combo setfile is for the use with other Eas. Does it mean that the other setfiles get in conflict with other EAs in a portfolio? Where exactly is the difference between combo and normal setfiles?

2. I watched that the EA held positions overnight in the US500. Is this intended? Cuz I know ORB strategies only as daytrades so far. Iam happy, I just ask.

3. Will you make a live signal for as addition to the own monitoring of Live performance?

Hi Chris,

1), no it means that I adjusted the risk (lower), because when running a portfolio of EA's, it makes sense to run each EA at lower risk, compared to when running that EA individually on an account

2) it can happen yes.  There is no timed exit

3) I will post the signal soon, but early results never have much meaning in my experience.  Anyways, here is the current results on my live account (until last week)

setup instructions are on the product page.  If anything is not clear, please let me know in private message.

Most important things:

1) Make sure all 4 indices symbols are available in the market watch window

2) Make sure you adjust the names of the symbols in the parameters if your brokers uses different names for the indices

3) make sure to add the worldtimeserver URL to the MT5 settings as explained on the product page for the EA timing and autoGMT to work correctly

I would recommend starting with low risk, and increase risk once you feel comfortable with how the EA works

please give some details about these propfirm settings.

I had 3 USTEC/NDX100 trades last night, a small but nice profit, but I think the sl was too tight or something else. lost much potential profit i think.
I thought maybe the sl/trail settings might be adjusted or improved?

you are looking at 3 individual trades to adjust the settings for all trades :-)  

the parameter values I use, are based on longterm most stable performance.  trying to adjust them for short term will result in worse overal performance in my opinion.

They for sure are not "perfect" for each trade opportunity, but take a couple of hundred trades, and they"ll come out as one of the  best settings
