MT5 Developer Wanted – Build a Prop Firm Trading EA with Real-World Experience

📌 Job Description:

We're seeking a skilled MetaTrader 5 (MT5) developer with proven experience in building Expert Advisors (EAs) specifically for prop firm challenge accounts (FTMO, MyForexFunds, E8, etc.).

This is not just another EA build—we’re looking for someone who understands the unique rules, constraints, and psychology of prop firm evaluations, and can develop an EA that is compliant, intelligent, and performance-driven.

🛠️ What We Need Built:

A robust, prop-firm-ready Expert Advisor that:

• ✅ Trades breakouts or other disciplined strategies (non-martingale, no grid)

• ✅ Includes Stop Loss, Take Profit, and trailing stop management

• ✅ Enforces max daily drawdown and equity drawdown limits

• ✅ Halts trading when a profit target is reached

• ✅ Provides risk-based position sizing (fixed lot, auto-lot, or % of balance)

• ✅ Includes custom trading hours, spread filters, and time filters

• ✅ Works with any account type (standard, ECN, raw spread)

• ✅ Allows full input customization for optimization and backtesting

• ✅ (Bonus) Pauses trading during high-impact news events

The goal is simple: build a smart, safe, and customizable EA that helps users pass prop firm challenges and remain funded.

🔍 What Success Looks Like:

To be considered successful, your EA should:

1. ✅ Pass backtests 

   • Profit factor ≥ 1.5

   • Max drawdown ≤ 9%

   • Consistent performance across multiple assets

2. ✅ Be fully optimized using MT5's Strategy Tester:

   • Multiple risk modes tested (fixed lot, % risk, auto-lot)

   • Trading hours and filter settings fine-tuned

3. ✅ Run on demo and live accounts:

   • Demo-tested to validate real-time performance

4. ✅ Adhere strictly to Prop Firm Rules:

   • Does not violate daily or total drawdown

   • Stops trading after profit target hit

   • Closes trades before weekends (if configured)

   • Trades with low-frequency precision, not high-frequency noise

👤 Ideal Candidate:

• Strong MQL5/MQL4 background with portfolio of working EAs

• Experience with prop firm trading rules and risk systems

• Can clearly explain their design approach and logic before development

• Understands the importance of low drawdown, risk control, and trading discipline

• Can provide a detailed breakdown of what will be built before starting
