period conversion in EA's

I know its not possible to run expert advisors on offline charts, but has anyone tried doing realtime period conversion inside and expert advisor to sort of simulate a custom time period? Like say you want a 10 minute chart, take the data from the last 2 points in a 5 minute chart and somehow add it to simulate a 10 minute charts data? Or does anyone know of a better way? Im interested to hear anyones results or advice on this :) Thanks!
