MT5 Proxy Settings not getting saved

Hello All, 

I am trying to enable proxy settings on my mt5 which is currently executing on a vps. 

I click on Enable proxy server -> Proxy ... -> Give my server , login . password , sock5 

Then when i press test or ok , it doesnt go anywhere at all. The cursor goes back to the server field. 

I tried the same setting on my local computer , it is working fine . 

Just wanted to understand , where i am going wrong in my vps.
