Feature Request – Sync Desktop MT5 Alerts to Mobile via QR Code or Cloud Integration

Hello MetaQuotes Team,

I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly enhance the workflow between the desktop and mobile versions of MetaTrader 5, especially for traders who do their technical analysis on a computer but rely on mobile notifications when away from the screen.

Feature Idea:

A method to export desktop MT5 alerts (price alerts, indicator alerts, etc.) into the mobile app using a QR code or cloud sync feature.

How it could work:
1. On the desktop MT5, an indicator/script could allow users to generate a QR code for an alert that has been set.
2. In the mobile MT5 app, the alerts section could include a “Scan QR” or “Import Alert” option.
3. When scanned or synced, the mobile app automatically imports the alert details (symbol, level, alert type, etc.)—saving time and reducing manual errors.

Why it matters:

Many traders, including myself, analyze the market on MT5 desktop with multiple charts open and set multiple alerts across different pairs.

Currently, desktop alerts only send notifications to the mobile app while MT5 is actively running on the desktop; if the desktop application is closed or the computer goes to sleep, those alerts won’t trigger. Transferring alert settings directly to the mobile app ensures uninterrupted notifications even when the desktop is offline.

For small retail traders who don’t have the financial muscle to use a VPS, having alerts pushed to mobile—especially when the desktop is closed—is a huge value add.

Traders who work day jobs or are frequently away from their screens also depend heavily on accurate, timely alerts. Being able to transfer alerts seamlessly helps avoid missed setups.
It reduces friction, increases productivity, and brings mobile and desktop into a more unified trading experience.

Bonus benefit:

This could also be extended to cloud accounts or use the MQL5 community login to sync alerts across devices—similar to how profiles and templates work.

I believe this feature would be widely appreciated by active traders and further solidify MT5 as the top choice for multi-device trading.

Thank you for considering this idea, and I’d be happy to offer more input if needed.

Best regards,
