Discussing the article: "Developing a Replay System — Market simulation (Part 22): FOREX (III)"

Check out the new article: Developing a Replay System — Market simulation (Part 22): FOREX (III).

Although this is the third article on this topic, I must explain for those who have not yet understood the difference between the stock market and the foreign exchange market: the big difference is that in the Forex there is no, or rather, we are not given information about some points that actually occurred during the course of trading.

n order to find out whether we should use a simulator to create ticks and the information is that used in the forex market or the stock market, we can use the volume! Yes, exactly the volume! That's exactly how it is done. The information that determines whether a bar file belongs to forex (where we use the Bid value as the traded price) or a stock market (where we use Las as the traded price) is precisely the volume.

If you do not understand this, I suggest taking a look at the images below where you can see parts of files with 1-minute barsи.

We have no information on whether we are using the Bid or Last as a guide to the actual trade price. In the images above, the only difference is the volume value. This value is highlighted in the images so you can see where the difference is.
