Its the quality of tick data used for this backtest, which in this case is not very good (90%).

What are some of the ways to increase the quality of tick data, aside from changing the modelling (e.g. 1 min ohlc) of backtesting

If you want trustworthy results, don't use anything less than every tick based on real ticks.
