"Distribution of tasks to agents
The tester can now redistribute tasks to agents during the optimization process. If a new agent has become available (or one of the previously used ones has been released), the tester automatically creates a new package of tasks, using those which were earlier distributed among other agents. Tasks can also be redistributed if slow agents are detected. Tasks of such agents are sent to other agents to complete the optimization faster. "
This sounds good in theory - But the resulting action is most CPUs on my local network are now deemed 'too slow 'and only 30% are used for the majority of the optimization, which now takes 3 times as long.
Does anyone know if there's a way to turn this feature off? It's very clever in theory, however if you only want to run. say 2 cores on one PC (because it's doing a lot of other things), they will appear to be running much faster than those on PCs running all cores and hence, PCs which are meant to be dedicated to optimization are effectively disabled for 95% of the optimization. It's really making it very hard to run strategy optimizations for longer time periods, and placing undue strain on those PCs in my network which are deemed 'fast enough'. The rest are hardly being used.
Thanks in advance.
