It shows the highest high and lowest low of price movement on a chart. Fractals are a great method of determining a trend thus providing free Forex trading signals. They are also natural and resistance levels provide for a good entry and provide places for great stop losses.

Fractal gives just a signal to enter the market, therefore, a trader needs to wait for its confirmation, combining other methods effectively .To apply fractals to the chart, press the "Indicators" button on the toolbar and choose "Bill Williams" - "Fractals." (See from the Video above for a detailed explanation on how to do so).
Bill Williams' fractals are the first dimension of the market. A buy fractal is a series of five consecutive bars, where the highest high is preceded by two lower highs and is followed by two lower highs.
A sell fractal is a series of five consecutive bars, where the lowest low is preceded by two higher lows and is followed by two higher lows. Fractals for buying and selling can consist of the same bars. Fractals generate the following signals: if a buy fractal is above the Alligator's teeth (the red line), we would place a Buy Stop order one pip above the maximum of the bar that formed the fractal. If a sell fractal is below the Alligator's teeth, we would place a Sell Stop order one pip below the minimum of the bar that formed a fractal.
If the buy fractal was formed below the Alligator teeth or sell fractal was formed above the Alligator teeth, such a deal should be emitted in order not to feed the Alligator. Fractals will be active unless they are deleted or unless the next fractal in the same direction appears.
In this case the previous signal is being cancelled along with the pending order. It is crucial to know what fractal was deleted that is on what bar you should enter the market after overcoming the fractal. If this bar is outside the Alligator teeth, such a deal is acceptable .Fractals are the first dimension of the financial market. Every entry of the market starts from overcoming the fractal. Only after the first fractal has been overcome, can we start accepting signals from the another indicators in other to open new positions in the direction of the first Signals, signals of the oncoming fractals in the direction of the first deal will also be the basis of opening additional positions.
