The preliminary results from the University of Michigan's June consumer confidence survey are out.
The headline index unexpectedly fell to 82.7 from May's 84.5 reading.
The economic conditions sub-index fell to 92.1 from 98.0.
The economic outlook sub-index, on the other hand, increased to 76.7 from 75.8.
