We have over 9 years experience trading currencies. We use a manually executed trading system nicknamed The Oracle. The Oracle uses 2 proprietary indicators in conjunction with standard technical analysis to determine entry and exit points. The technical analysis techniques used include: trend lines, channels, Fibonacci, pivots, static and dynamic support. Because our trades are managed manually, profit targets and stops are dynamic.
We take a slow but steady approach to Forex investing. We believe that sound money management is essential to obtaining consistent successful returns. You will not see weekly "thousand pip" gains from us. We are professional traders and as such do not subscribe to the "get rich quick" hype that is often associated with Forex investing. We trade 1 to 2 pairs at a time, and generally will take 1-2 positions on at a time within the leverage guidelines we list below. We do not believe in trading news events.
Our approach is to take a small percentage of the daily range a currency moves. Typically 10 to 30 pips. Our trading plan is suitable for conservative, moderate or aggressive investors and the system can be used on "mini accounts". We suggest the following guidelines for money management for our investors.
Conservative: 25 cents risk per pip, per thousand dollars of equity.
Moderate: 50 cents risk per pip, per thousand dollars of equity
Aggressive: $1-2 risk per pip, per thousand dollars of equity
We strive to keep draw downs reasonable and look at the "net" draw down on the account in relation to the previous month. Investors following our suggestions for money management could experience at any given time the following draw down as it relates to total equity of their investment. These draw downs are estimates and investors may or may not experience these.
Conservative: 2-3%
Moderate: 5-8%
Aggressive: 10-25%
When investing with us, please keep in mind and consider that no system is 100% effective. Losses do occur. The Oracle is an intra day system and as such is subject to "whipsaw" trades. It is not uncommon for intra day systems to experience 1-2 bad trades in a row. These types of trades can result in significant draw downs. Investors should take this into account when following our trades and adjust risk based on their tolerance.
