Adjustable child windows that retain there layout

In the MQL4 compiler and to a lesser degree the trading terminal. when one opens a child window to locate and open or even save files, the layout is always only one static configuration.  There are numerous times that I do a considerable number of these repeatedly.  EVERY time I have to change it to the view that I want, adjust the window size, the width of each data field etc.  It would be very helpful and much more convenient, faster and less frustrating if one could select/deselect which data fields that they want to view, change the order of the data field columns, their width, the view such as : thumbnails, icons. list, details etc and have it remember and retain all of these so that one does not have to waste time every time one goes to use such windows again. Preferably with the option of changing one's preferred layout to the default view or not.  This is in keeping with what the Windows conventions, practice and options and have been for some time now with good reason.
