As a trader, I can only tell you to stay away from news, TV, radio and other types of news poison that can clutter your judgement. Trade like if you were in a desert island.
The only fundamental data that I care about (if you want to call it that) is the price of <whatever> priced in ounzes of gold.
"You can mix trend following with fundamental analysis. Yo can also mix it with astrology, tarot, four-leaf clovers or chicken bones. Buy why would you?"
